8. What is the PRESENT PERFECT TENSE?
The Present Perfect tense is used to create a link between the
past and the present. This tense:
Expresses actions that started in the past and continues in
the present using the adverbs of time: “for” / “since”.
Describes experiences, achievements and regrets.
Describes actions related to the present using the adverbs
of time: “just” “already” and “yet”.

PP: They have been married for 4 years. (Started in the past and still
continues now.)
SP: They were married for 4 years. (Happened in the past, but
doesn’t continue.)

SP: I did not do my home.

forehead and then ask him/her to guess who it is. You can give clues to help.
