A Specialized Toothpaste
for Orthodontic Patients
According to the Dental Health Component &
Dental Aesthetic Index, more than 80% of the
population need orthodontic treatment (1)
Adolescents aged 10-17 Adults
Fixed Appliances Used for Orthodonic Treatment
Cause Difficulty in Maintaining Oral Hygiene
Resulting in Several Common Problems:
White-spot lesions Ulcers, Gingivitis
and Halitosis
Accumulation of
oral biofilm
(bacterial plaque)
Demineralization
of tooth enamel
Specialized Active Ingredients
for Optimized Oral Hygiene During Orthodontic Treatment
Xylitol reduced the percentage of
children with new caries lesions
at 1 year compared with placebo
(5)
Mean ulcer index were
significantly lower with vitamin
E compared to control group
(7)
Mouth rinse containing zinc
has a significant antibacterial
and plaque control effect (8)
Palm vitamin E
Xylitol Zinc Chloride Vitamin E
Ortho-Dent Aid
Specialized Tooth Paste
Provides the necessary active ingredients to maintain oral hygiene and health
Xylitol
Vitamin
B5
Vitamin
E
Xylitol - a natural carbohydrate. Researches have shown that xylitol
reduces the acidity levels derived from a bacterium "mutants" in
saliva, thus contributing to the reduction of dental caries
Vitamin B5 – Water soluble vitamin that has an accelerating effect
on wound healing in damaged epithelium in oral mucosa
Vitamin E - a fat-soluble vitamin that prevents oxidation and
damage to cells by reaction with damaging free radicals. Many
studies indicate vitamin E has curative effect in treatment and
prevention of gingivitis
Zinc ( Zn+2) has an ability to limit bacterial growth and plaque
formation . Zinc that is retained in oral cavity 2-3 hours after tooth
brushing inhibits the production of volatile sulphur-containing
compounds (VSC) contributing to reduction in Halitosis
Zinc
Chloride
Ortho-Dent Aid
Specialized Tooth Paste
keeps mouth clean and healthy during orthodontic treatment
Protects the mouth, teeth, gums and oral mucus and inhibits the
formation of oral biofilm.
Prevents enamel demineralizing and dental caries.
Iinnovative texture That allows it to easily access spaces between
orthodontic braces.
Mild fruit mint flavor for maximum compliance

Periodontal disease & Pregnancy (1,2)
Periodontal disease is one of the most common
chronic disorders of infectious origin known in
humans, with a reported prevalence varying
between 10 and 60% in adults, depending on
diagnostic criteria
Hormonal changes during pregnancy
mainly increased Estrogen and
progesterone levels exaggerated
inflammatory response of gingiva
Periodontal Disease is Associated with Adverse
Pregnancy Outcomes (1)
preterm
birth
low birth
weight
shortened gestational age
& miscarriage
oral prophylaxis and periodontal treatment can
lead to a 57% reduction in preterm low birth
weight and a 50% reduction in preterm births(1)

vitamin E
TCP
Vitamin E: Vitamin E is an anti-oxidant. Recent studies have indicated that
vitamin E may have therapeutic effects in treating and preventing periodontal
pathology (3)
Tri-Calcium Phosphate (TCP): Since the structure of TCP is similar to
hydroxyapatite, once the functionalized calcium ions are released, they
readily interact with the tooth surface and subsurface and provides enhanced
re-mineralization and added protection against demineralization.
While other calcium phosphate additives may require an acidic pH, which
could limit the benefits to the tooth, functionalized TCP can offer optimal
benefits when delivered in a neutral pH environment.

Specialized toothpaste enriched with natural
Dead Sea Minerals
For oral health and reduced dentin
hypersensitivity
Dentin Hypersensitivity (DH)
• Painful clinical condition with an
incidence ranging from 4 to 57% (6)
• The prevalence of DH is between 60
and 98 percent in patients with
periodontitis (6)
• Higher incidence of DH is reported in
females than in males (6)
• Most affected patients are in the age
group of 20–50 years, with a peak
between 30 and 40 years of age (6)
Treatment (6)
Oral hygiene
Use of appropriate
toothbrush and correct
method of tooth
brushing
Use of Desensitizing
toothpastes
Minerals Contribute to Oral Hygiene and Reduced
Hypersensitivity
Desensitization
Anti-bacterial
Re-
mineralization
Potassium- reduced dentin hypersensitivity and improved overall
patient comfort (1,2)
Improve remineralization and increase fluoride uptake (4)
Sodium Bicarbonate– Increase pH of saliva thus prevent caries by
creating a hostile environment for the growth of aciduric bacteria
and by reducing enamel solubility and increase remineralization of
enamel (3)
Fluoride - effective in helping to protect the dental enamel from
demineralisation and enhance remineralisation (5)
Calcium - calcium salts or calcium containing materials added to oral
care products enhance the delivery and retention of fluoride into the oral
cavity and act as additional sources of calcium to promote enamel
remineralisation or reduce demineralisation processes (5)
Dent Aid Dead Sea
• Enriched with dead sea minerals
• Contains 10 active minerals that are known for their
therapeutic and health benefits.
• For reduced prevention of caries and accumulation
of tartar and dentin hypersensitivity
• Light pepermint and slightly salty taste.
For healthy teeth and gum and reduced dentin
hypersensitivity

  • 20. Specialized toothpaste enriched with natural Dead Sea Minerals For oral health and reduced dentin hypersensitivity
  • 21. Dentin Hypersensitivity (DH) • Painful clinical condition with an incidence ranging from 4 to 57% (6) • The prevalence of DH is between 60 and 98 percent in patients with periodontitis (6) • Higher incidence of DH is reported in females than in males (6) • Most affected patients are in the age group of 20–50 years, with a peak between 30 and 40 years of age (6)
  • 22. Treatment (6) Oral hygiene Use of appropriate toothbrush and correct method of tooth brushing Use of Desensitizing toothpastes
  • 23. Minerals Contribute to Oral Hygiene and Reduced Hypersensitivity Desensitization Anti-bacterial Re- mineralization Potassium- reduced dentin hypersensitivity and improved overall patient comfort (1,2) Improve remineralization and increase fluoride uptake (4) Sodium Bicarbonate– Increase pH of saliva thus prevent caries by creating a hostile environment for the growth of aciduric bacteria and by reducing enamel solubility and increase remineralization of enamel (3) Fluoride - effective in helping to protect the dental enamel from demineralisation and enhance remineralisation (5) Calcium - calcium salts or calcium containing materials added to oral care products enhance the delivery and retention of fluoride into the oral cavity and act as additional sources of calcium to promote enamel remineralisation or reduce demineralisation processes (5)
  • 24.
