2. What genre of film do you believe this to be?
After watching the final media product, all of those
surveyed identified at least one of the genre within our
film. 23 people out of 25 surveyed correctly assumed
that the film was a crime-comedy, whereas 1 believed
the film to be solely a comedy and somebody else
identified the comedic aspect of the film, but not the
crime one.
This ultimately shows that our intended genre was
understandable, thus indicating a success in clarity.

3. Which gender would you consider to be the
target audience?
Most people believed that the film was targeted
towards either both sexes or solely males, whereas
only one person believed that the film was female-
oriented. This makes perfect sense as the only on-
screen characters throughout the duration of the film
are male, and a lot of the humour is male oriented.60%

target audience?
As the characters are meant to between the ages of 16
and 25, the audience is too meant to be of a similar
age.This ultimately appears to have been the result as
the majority of people have recognised that the
audience is that of 15-24 year olds.

5. Which certificate would you consider this film
to be?
Most people seemed to recognise that our film was
intended to be classified ‘15’ by the BBFC, which
indicates that this was the correct choice on our behalf.

Only one person surveyed did not understand the
storyline as it took place within the first 3 minutes of
our feature.This indicates that our film is easily
comprehensible, which is what we intended.

8. Would you consider watching the finished
film?
As only one person claimed they would not consider
watching a full length feature version of ‘Do Not Pass
Go’, this clearly indicates that our film was a success
amongst those surveyed. Similar to the pre-production
survey, those who did not understand the film were the
same ones who wouldn’t want to watch it, indicating
simplicity is key when attracting an audience.

9. Do you believe the music in the scene is
appropriate?
Yet again, only one person disagreed with the film’s use
of music, indicating that our choice of sound was
appropriate for our scene.

9 people chose to leave this question blank whilst the remaining sixteen wrote some of the
following comments:
“The film is very funny, everything seems good so far.”
“The music is very upbeat and I think it adds to the scene. I also like the shopkeeper’s line-
that’s quite funny”
“I would definitely watch a full 2 hour version off this if I could.”
“I don’t really understand what’s going on in the second scene, is it meant to be a prison?”

11. What is your age?
Out of the 25 people surveyed, most (13) were 17 years
old, whereas 10 and 2 people were 16 and 18 years old
respectively.These people all fit the criteria of the
intended target audience, those between the ages of
15-30 years old.

12. What is your gender?
Like the pre-production questionnaire, we aimed to get
as close to a 50-50 split in both genders as we possibly
could when surveying, yet as though only 25 were
surveyed, this was impossible, yet 12 females were
questioned, whilst 13 males were aswell.We chose to
question more males in this survey, as in the previous
one, we questioned more females.

13. What genre of film do you normally prefer?
There was a wide variety of genres that people claimed
were their favourites, yet due to the overwhelming
critical response we go from people who’s ideal genre
was not that of comedy showcased our ability to
transcend expectations and appeal to all.
