I am a mature engineer trained by the Royal Air Force with many years of electronic and ra d i o communications
experience, and I naturally express a logical and methodical approach to both engineering and administrative
tasks and consider myself to be an asset for any company’s engineering force. I have management, supervisory and

state and detection of alarm conditions which might need immediate attention from S&C Technical Support
to prevent collateral damage and possible catastrophic situations from happening.
• Equipment monitored mainly includes DSATATCOM systems which stabilise Wind Generated Power before
joining to a Grid System, UPS systems which ensure important Manufacturing Plants do not experience a loss

SCADA Support/ Radio Network Support Engineer
June 2008— March 2009 — Scottish Power Contract via West Coast Energy
• Giving advice and recommendations to Scottish Power and helping support their low power radio network
which is the backbone of their Overhead and Underground 11/33kV network automation project covering North
Wales and Cheshire.
• Took ownership of current network faults and set about the rectification
• Created graphical representation of their current fault analysis over the North Wales and Cheshire region with
regular updating to show actual positive progress
• During this 9 month period cumulative communication errors dropped by up to 50%

• Designed a special flush wall mounting bracket for supporting 6 metre steel antenna mounting tubes, thereby
restricting the ability to climb these structures and thus enhancing public safety at Primary Sub Station buildings.
