1. Gail Robinson is a Training Coordinator with over 5 years experience in that position. She has
over 10 years progressive experience utilizing organizational and communication skills. Proven
history in organizing the planning, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring of training functions,
events, and webinars to instruct and promote products for diverse customers within multiple
locations. Gail specializes in doing everything she can to help instructors do their best.
Gail has a strong customer service background working in banks, retail and the information
technology & service industry. She always goes above and beyond to help that customer in
whatever issues they may be experiencing.
At the most recent company she worked for, MRIS, she grew within the company starting out as a
Customer Service Representative. On her own, she created a Customer Service Department
Manual which was a step by step guide, to help new representatives in the department have a
better understanding of what they needed to understand their jobs better. Within a year she had
made an impression on her manager that she got promoted to Customer Service Coordinator, a
position that was specifically created for her.
Throughout the years she did her best to excel in her position taking seminars that involved Time
Management, Managing Multiple Projects, Mentoring and Team Building and Meeting Deadlines
to name a few. With that experience she then moved into an Education Coordinator position
within another department. This was a step up, in her life, as this position ended up being her
passion years later – being a Training Coordinator.
As a Training Coordinator / Education Coordinator, Gail managed the schedules for up to 8
instructors and 6 account managers at a given time. Each month, she had to decide:
What they were teaching (9 classes including events, workshops and webinars and not everyone
could teach every class)
When they were teaching (not everyone was available everyday and 3 of the instructors were
part-time)
Where they were teaching (21 locations in 3 states and each location did not always have
availability everyday)
Who they were teaching (45, 000 customers with different levels of learning)
Gail mastered it though using her organizational skills to good use as well as her Microsoft Office
Skills. It came in handy quite a lot. One of the things that she also conquered is Event Planning.
She was in charge of setting up presentations at several hotel locations throughout the region for
people to present a new company-wide product for MRIS customers. She volunteered to attend
events to get to know more about the process including taking an Event Planning Seminar. She
always goes out of her way to better herself in order to get the job done efficiently.
Today, Gail has grown tremendously. She is highly organized – everyone she knows will tell you
this. She has a keen attention to detail and has a tendency of noticing things that others may
have missed. She goes out of her way to help others in her path. She has worked in a team
environment and most recent, independently. A few challenges here and there, but it is nothing
she cannot handle as she is quick learner.
Things she is currently doing or recently did:
* Currently freelancing as the Event Host for Career Cafe of Bethesda job club.
* Recently did temporary assignment as an HR Administration Assistant for Johnson Controls
Federal System.
* Volunteered at some 1-day events in 2010 - The Great Urban Race, Strawberry Festival and
Columbia Festival of the Arts - Lakefest.
