Grew department from 50 to 130+ QDRO clients and added 75 Beneficiary Determination clients without increasing
staffing levels. This was accomplished by streamlining our service offering and creating databases to manage caseloads.

loyal billion-dollar clients.
♦ Subject Matter Expert and primary contact for the service, consulting for all departments within Vanguard.
♦ Liaison to the ERISA Legal department for all complex, ambiguous or contested beneficiary cases.
♦ Perform quality assurance on Beneficiary Determinations made.
♦ Administer training sessions for all Crew in Determination Services, as well as the Life Events phone team.
♦ Created a “Best Practices” document based on problem cases to supplement our beneficiary determination procedures.
Project Manager: Enhanced Beneficiary Determination Service
♦ Coordinated and executed the migration of 59 existing beneficiary determination clients from various client teams in
Recordkeeping Services to our centralized team.
♦ Present the beneficiary determination service offering in-person and through conference calls to each existing
determination client, as well as any new clients interested in the service. These meetings are with primary decision
makers including HR directors, benefits managers, corporate lawyers and ERISA counsel, as well as our own
relationship managers and client teams.
♦ Conduct presentations regarding the service offering to dozens of Crew members attending the Strategic Retirement
Consulting department’s study group sessions. Crew in attendance represent all levels and many business areas.
