2. Delivering Negative Messages
As a member of a the leadership team at my current job being
able to deliver negative messages to the team.
I learned the difference between indirect and direct approach to
communicating negative information.
I will be using the some of the positive/respectful words that
were suggested on in the book.
3. AIDA
This going to be a key for me to continue to use in the
future both in my educational career as well as my
professional career, writing persuasive papers, emails
and presentations is important
A= capture the Attention of the audience, I= Interest
the reader/audience to get involved, D= Desire make
audience see how your point of view will benefit them as
well, A= inform audience how they can take Action.
4. Balancing Logical and Emotional
Appeal
When writing a persuasive message it is important to
make sure that there is the right amount of logic and
emotion appeal so that it connects to a larger range of
audience.
In management it is important to have that sort of appeal
on employees when you want them to be on board with a
new plan that you have.

Living in a digital world makes means most of the
information that we use comes from the internet. Learning
to search for information online is incredibly important for
future educational purposes and career ones as well

other magazine articles that have accurate and
researched information.

the importances of clear and direct communication in the
business world.
Using direct writing cutting out extra words and phrases is
one of the biggest and most important lessons I have
learned in this course.
Learning when to use direct and indirect approaches in a
way that I am comfortable with when writing business
messages is going to be a key component to my success
in the business world
