The project, slated for completion by July, now struggles to

deadline. The monumentâs

these challenges, thereâs

This presents an opportunity for JDA to inaugurate the

The Rs 2000 note, intro-
duced after demonetiza-
tion in 2016, has become
a constant source of con-
cern for individuals
looking to exchange or
deposit it. Despite the
Reserve Bankâs efforts
to facilitate the process,
the scene outside its of-
fices, particularly in
Jaipur, is chaotic.
Individuals seeking to
exchange their remaining
Rs 2000 notes face long
queues from early morn-
ing throughout the week.
The Reserve Bank had
allowed exchanges
through banks until Sep-
tember 30, but there are
still people holding onto
these notes.
At the Jaipur office, the
queues often stretch to the
main road, causing incon-
venience to many. One
serious allegation from
people is that the RBI em-
ployees at the Jaipur
counter are compelling
them to accept coins
worth Rs 20 in lieu of the
Rs 2000 notes they are at-
tempting to exchange.
The situation is exacer-
bated by the lack of re-
sponsiveness from RBI
officials in Jaipur and
their reluctance to address
the publicâs concerns.
Despite the announce-
ment of the withdrawal
of the Rs 2000 note on
May 19, 2023, there are
still hurdles in the ex-
change process.
The Reserve Bank
ceased printing Rs 2000
notes in the financial year
2018-2019, citing con-
cerns about counterfeit-
ing. The noteâs share in
seized fake notes is ap-
proximately 56 percent,
according to RBI.
The noteâs unpopular-
ity is evident in the RBIâs
2021-22 report.As of No-
vember 30, 2023, 97.26
percent of the total Rs
2000 notes had been re-
turned to the RBI,
amounting to Rs 3.56
lakh crore.
However, as of De-
cember 1, 2023, people
still held Rs 2000 notes
worth Rs 9760 crore.

Victim inclusion in all bail proceedings

First India Bureau

The Rajasthan High
Court, in response to a
reference from a single
bench, clarified that mak-
ing complainant or vic-
tim a party in all bail peti-
tions is not mandatory.
JusticesArun Bhansali
and Pankaj Bhandari em-
phasized that while the
Supreme Court suggests
giving an opportunity for
their input, it doesnât ne-
cessitate their inclusion
as parties under certain
sections of the Code of

court highlighted the
need to balance the rights
of both the accused and
the victim.
This decision arose
from a reference on bail
petitions for Pooja Gur-
jar, Rekha Gurjar, and
Narayani Gurjar.
A previous order had
called for victims to be
parties in all bail peti-
tions. The matter was
sent to the division.
Advocates argued
against the time-consum-

hampers the value of pre-
senting bail applications.
They also challenged the
legality of instructions
requiring victims to be
included as parties, advo-
cating for their dismissal.

3. WAITING FOR CHANGE!
State bureaucracy awaits reshuffle after change of govt!
Rajendra Chhabra
Jaipur
he state bureau-
cracy has been
sitting idle for
the last fortnight, being in
dilemma. Everything
stands still. There has to
be a radical change in the
entire administration
from the top to the district
level but people are not
able to understand why
this is not happening.
According to sources,
homework on the Cabinet
list and transfers of bu-
reaucracy has been com-
pleted at the top level but
the list has not been re-
leased yet. First of all, the
postings of the officers in
CMO is still incomplete.
Only three new officers
have been appointed tem-
porarily. The interesting
fact is that the top IAS of-
ficer T Ravikanth, who
has been given the tem-
porary responsibility of
Principal Secretary in
CMO, already has the ad-
ditional charge of impor-
tant departments like
UDH and LSG along
with medical education.
In such a situation, T Ra-
vikanth is surprised and
finding difficulties in
handling so many respon-
sibilities.
Heads of important de-
partments like Home ,
Finance , PHED and
PWD have not been
changed yet, though they
are usually changed on
change of government.
There is also curiosity
about the new Chief Sec-
retary as only 10 days are
left for the arrival of the
new Chief Secretary.
The speculation about
the return of some offic-
ers of Rajasthan cadre
working on deputation in
Delhi has been going on
since the first day. Names
of Delhi officers are be-
ing considered for senior
posts like Chief Secre-
tary , CMO and Finance.
The surprising thing is
that neither in Delhi nor
in Jaipur, no one knows
what responsibility they
are going to get.
The important thing is
that on January 1, many
IAS officers will be pro-
moted and even then ma-
jor changes will have to
be made.
Bureaucracy experts
believe that according to
the new government, if
HODs in the departments
, MDs in the Corporation
and Collectors and SDMs
in the districts are
changed, then more than
100 IAS will have to be
shifted. The question is,
who will do this mara-
thon work?
According to reliable
sources a senior IAS of-
ficer of Gujarat cadre is
being brought to Ra-
jasthan on deputation
and may be given the
command of CMO or
Finance. The officer is
from Rajasthan and is
also experienced in fi-
nance.

Rajasthan has emerged
as the tourism hub of
the country, welcoming
over 13 crore tourists in
the first 10 months of
the year. With the tour-
ism season at its peak,
this number is expected
to surpass 15 crores by
the end of December,
marking a significant
achievement for the
state. The Tourism De-
partment is elated by
this surge and is gearing
up for the coming year.
Post-COVID, a para-
digm shift in tourism
trends has been ob-
served worldwide. Peo-
ple are veering away
from urban landscapes,
seeking solace in na-
ture, and reconnecting
with ancient traditions
and heritage.
Meanwhile, Ra-
jasthanâs tourism land-
scape has witnessed a
transformation, show-
casing its rich heritage
through ancient forts,
palaces, and natural
marvels like stepwells.
With five tiger re-
serves, a city of lakes,
water palaces, formida-
ble forts, diverse dia-
lects, and a culinary and
sartorial tapestry that
changes every few
miles, Rajasthan offers
an authentic and natural
experience. The state
has become a year-
round destination,
with December being
the golden month for
tourism, attracting visi-
tors from across the
country to partake in
Christmas and New
Year celebrations.
Tourism Director Dr.
Rashmi Sharma ex-
presses pride in Ra-
jasthanâs tourism ad-
vancements compared
to other states. She said
that Rajasthanâs tour-
ism success is attributed
to an aggressive mar-
keting policy, frequent
film shootings, its rec-
ognition as a premier
wedding destination
and infrastructural de-
velopment.
The Central Govern-
ment shares the vision
of showcasing the cul-
tural heritage of states,
including Rajasthan, to
the world.
This yearâs record-
breaking 13 crore tour-
ists are a testament to the
stateâs allure. Dr. Shar-
ma credits the progress
to effective use of social
media and winning the

government in power,
the state anticipates in-

âMODI HAI TO MUMKIN HAIâŚâ UNTOLD STORIES OF PM MODI â PART 65
MODIâSMISSION
TOEMPOWER,
NOTIMPOSE!
The narrators recount the experiences they had while escorting PM Narendra
Modi during his visits to the Indo-Pak border in Gujarat, where he met with BSF
jawans and also his visit to Haryana. Modiji emphasised the importance of
ending the VIP culture while highlighting the significance of every individual.
Furthermore, they also discussed the initiatives and impactful measures
undertaken by PM Modiâs government for the welfare of the Sikh community
Modi ji slaked the thirst
of jawans at the border
t was in 2009 that my IG said,
as Chief Minister, Narendra
Modi wanted to visit the Indo-
Pak border in Gujarat and spend some
time with the BSF jawans posted there.
It was said that the CM wanted to share
the New Year celebrations with the
bravehearts posted in the far-flung bor-
der areas of the state.
I had the opportunity of escorting
him to the border. He expressed his de-
sire to cross the fence and reach Zero
Point, the place which is closest to the
Pakistan side, where the pillars are
erected between the two countries.
We had to tell him that there were cer-
tain norms, which were needed to be
followed while crossing the fence to
reach Zero Point and Modi ji said I am
ready to follow all the protocols, but I
want to see how it is there.
Then, the second issue was how to
reach the point because in between
there was a wide marshy patch which
had to be crossed. I told him that it
could be crossed only with the help of
a camel. He said he couldnât ride a
camel and asked me to accompany him
through the 150-metre stretch.
I did so and when he reached the spot,
he had a photo op with the jawans there.
At that point, he talked to the jawans
and sought to know their problems and
experiences manning the border.
We had the problem of potable water
in the area as it was available 50 kilo-
metres back in the village. We used to
ferry tankers full of water from the
Suigam village for the jawans. We
urged Modi ji to do something to set up
pipelines for the supply of potable wa-
ter to the area for the convenience of
the jawans.
Modi ji took not more than 2 seconds
to agree to the proposal and said, today
is January 1. Water will reach the
jawans through a pipeline within 6
months. I assure you that.
Rann has such high temperatures and
the condition is so saline that no pipe-
line can survive there. I was told that
special pipes were acquired from Ger-
many by importing them from that
country and exactly six months later, by
June of that year, a huge reservoir was
built and water reached the jawans
through the pipeline. That is the kind of
commitment of Modi ji.

MODI JI WAS ALWAYS
AGAINST VIP CULTURE
would like to share a wonder-
ful experience of my life with
Narendra Modi. It was in the
1990s that we had a state executive
committee meeting in Sonipat. Modi ji
came to attend the meeting as the state
in-charge of Haryana BJP.
While on the way, I seated him in the
back seat of the car and went around the
car on the other side to sit by the side of
the driver to tell him the route. Modi ji
saw this and beckoned me.
As I went near him, he asked me my
name and then said, Manoj ji, do I have
thorns? Why do you sit away from me?
What is the problem sitting here, beside
me?This drove my inhibitions in a min-
ute and I felt at home sitting by his side.
He started discussing with me the vari-
ous facets of Sonipat like what was fa-
mous here and general things like that.
All of a sudden we heard a siren
behind us and a cavalcade of cars.
Modi ji asked me what it was. I told
him that state home minister ID Swa-
mi was passing through the way,
which was why there was the siren of
his cavalcade.
Modi ji asked his car be stopped on
the side. We stopped and he came out
of the car and started waving with his
hand at Swamiâs car. Seeing this, the
minister also stopped his car. Then
Modi ji said, you are in your home
state. Who do you fear in your own
area that you need such paraphernalia
in your movement? Who are you using
the siren for? Here you donât need all
these. This will distance you from
your own people. I request you not to
use sirens during your movement.
When I think of that incident today, I
realise how Modi ji was against VIP
culture from the very beginning and
always took a stand against such os-
tentatious displays.

opening of the Kartarpur Corridor.
The opening of the corridor is not
just a matter of a few kilometres
that would take us from India to
Pakistan. It involves a lot like the
home ministry is involved, the dip-
lomatic corridors are involved, and
it involves not just one nation. But
he made it possible.
Modi ji declared Baal Diwas on
December 26, which we celebrate
as Veer Baal Diwas. This is a mo-
ment of pride because through this
we will be able to tell the younger
generation about the sacrifices the
sons of Guru Gobind Singh ji, Sa-
hibzada Zorawar Singh ji and Sa-
hibzada Fateh Singh ji, made to
stand up against injustice and dis-
crimination.
The Hem Kund Sahib Yatra was
a very difficult journey through a
tortuous path. PM Modi has now
made the journey that much easier
by making the road so practical and
viable. We are so very thankful to
PM Modi for his personal interest

In all our centenary celebrations
of our gurus like Guru Gobind
Singh ji, Guru Nanak Dev ji and
Guru Tegh Bahadur which we or-
ganised in recent times, PM Modi
participated to show his solidarity
with the Sikh community. It is a
matter of pride for the community
when the prime minister of the
country becomes a part of its cele-
brations and stands by it through
good and bad times.
The gurudwara at Kutch was de-
stroyed in the earthquake. Not
many people know that Guru

MAJOR PARLIAMENT HIGHLIGHTS
PM Modi wants to establish
single party rule in India,
says Congress Chief Kharge
First India Bureau
New Delhi
Congress president Mal-
likarjun Kharge charged
that the PM and the BJP
want to establish a âsin-
gle party ruleâ in the
country and the suspen-
sion of MPs from Parlia-
ment is for that.
While 141 MPs have
been suspended because
they wanted a statement
from the home minister
on the grave security
breach in Parliament, the
BJP MP who facilitated
the entry of the intruders,
remains scot-free and has
not yet been questioned,
the Congress leader said.
âWhat sort of an inves-
tigation is this,â he asked.
âWhy havenât senior
officers responsible for
Parliamentary security
made accountable?
Heads should have rolled
by now,â he said.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge with party leaders Sonia
Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and other opposition leaders during a
protest, in New Delhi on Wednesday. PTI
The Prime Minister and his party want to establish
a 'single party rule' in the country. This is precisely
what they have done by suspending Opposition
MPs. Instead of punishing the people in high ranks
for this shameful security lapse, they have
snatched away the democratic rights of MPs,
thereby escaping accountability. The Chairperson's
job is to give protection to other members but he
himself is making such a statement. I am not
allowed to speak in Rajya Sabha often. Should I
say it is because I am a Dalit.
MALLIKARJUN KHARGE, CONGRESS PRESIDENT

strangulated by this

before have so many
opposition members

RASHMIKA MANDANNA DEEPFAKE CASE
Delhi police tracks down four suspects

New Delhi
our suspects in-
volved in up-
loading a deep-
fake video of actor Rash-
mika Mandanna online
have been tracked and the
hunt is on to nab the main
conspirator, police said on
Wednesday.
However, the four
suspects turned out to be
uploaders, not creators,
the police said, adding
that they were looking
for the key conspirator
in the case.
Out of the four sus-
pects, three have been
tracked based on the de-
tails provided by Meta,
the company that owns
and operates social me-
dia platforms like Face-
book, Instagram and

The investigation en-
countered an obstacle
since the accused had re-
portedly removed and de-
leted information from
their accounts, making it
difficult for authorities to
locate them. The Delhi
Policeâs cyber experts are
currently searching for
the key conspirator be-
hind the post.
The deepfake videos

likely uploaded using a
fake identity, and the use
of a Virtual Private Net-

The first session of the
16th RajasthanAssembly
began on Wednesday
with the swearing-in of
MLAs.Ofthe190MLAs,
who were sworn in, took
oath in the name of God
rather than in the name of
affirmation i.e. fidelity.
Interestingly, 21
MLAs took oath in San-
skrit and this happened
for the first time in the
Assembly. Congress
MLA Zubair Khan and
Independent Yoonus
Khan surprised everyone
by taking oath in San-
skrit. More than half a
dozen MLAs demanded
to take oath in Rajastha-
ni. BJPâs Anshuman S
Bhati and independent
RS Bhati even took oath
in their local language.
But Pro-tem Speaker
Kalicharan Saraf asked
them to take oath again,
citing that Rajasthani lan-
guage doesnât have con-
stitutional recognition.

The two-day session of the Assembly began
on Wednesday. Even before the swearing-in,
Congress MLAs were seen protesting over
the suspension of MPs by wearing black bands and
also creating a ruckus. Former minister and MLA
Shanti Dhariwal attacked the government. Raising the
question of order, he said that this is a House, not a
Bhajan group, and that the Session was called within
24 hours. First, there should have been the Gover-
norâs address and then the oath-taking ceremony.
However, Pro-tem Speaker Kalicharan Saraf said that
the oath would take place first. After this, the session
will be convened and then the Governorâs address
will be given. Reacting to Dhariwal, MLA Balmukund
Acharya said that Dhariwalâs intellect had become
corrupt due to the old age. âHey, why do you have so
much objection to bhajan? Bhajan is a good thing. If
the bhajan group comes, they will sing bhajans, do
satsang, take 36 communities along, win everyoneâs
trust, and develop the state,â he said. Interestingly,
Balmukund Acharya arrived at the State Assembly
with a âGada, Nariyal, and a lemonâ in his hands.

landscape of
fashion, bod-
ycon dresses
have emerged as iconic
pieces that seamlessly blend
sensuality with sophistica-
tion. These form-fitting gar-
ments, often celebrated for
their sleek silhouette, have
become a staple in the ward-
robes of fashion enthusiasts
worldwide, transcending
seasons and trends.
Derived from the term
âbody-conscious,â bodycon
dresses are designed to
snugly hug the contours of
the body, emphasizing
curves and creating a flatter-
ing, streamlined look. These
dresses typically feature
stretchy fabrics such as
spandex or lycra, allowing
for both comfort and the
perfect fit.
One of the distinctive fea-
tures of bodycon dresses is
their ability to celebrate and
accentuate individual body
shapes. Whether embracing
curves or creating the illu-
sion of them, these dresses
empower wearers to em-
brace and showcase their
unique figures, fostering a
sense of body positivity and
confidence.
Bodycon dresses come in
a myriad of designs, cater-
ing to various style prefer-
ences and occasions. From
simple, classic cuts suitable
for work settings to more
elaborate designs adorned
with lace, cutouts, or asym-
metrical details for evening
events, the versatility of
bodycon dresses allows
them to seamlessly tran-
sition from day to night.
The journey of the
bodycon dress has wit-
nessed its evolution
from the iconic bandage
dresses of the â80s to the
contemporary interpre-
tations seen on fashion
runways today. While
the bodycon silhouette
remains a timeless
classic, designers
continually reinvent
it with innovative
fabrics, patterns, and
embellishments, en-
suring its relevance
in the ever-changing
world of fashion.
For many fash-
ion enthusiasts, a
well-fitted body-
con dress is consid-
ered a wardrobe
essential. Its sim-
plicity provides a
blank canvas for ac-
cessorizing and styling,
making it a versatile piece
that can be dressed up or
down depending on the oc-
casion.
Bodycone Dresses transcend the conventional boundaries
of fashion. City First brings to you the embodiment of
confidence, style and a celebration of diverse beauty!

Unveiling the Superiority of Gym Sessions
Home
vs
Gym
Gym Workouts
outs
he age-old de-
bate of home
workouts ver-
sus gym ses-
sions has been
a topic of dis-
cussion among fitness enthusi-
asts for years. Both options
have their merits, but when it
comes to effectiveness and
overall fitness gains, the gym
often takes the lead. In this ar-
ticle, we will explore the ad-
vantages of gym workouts and
shed light on why hitting the
gym might be the superior
choice for achieving your fit-
ness goals.
ACCESS TO SPECIALIZED
EQUIPMENT
One of the primary ad-
vantages of the gym
is the availability of
specialized equip-
ment. Gyms are
equipped with a
variety of
machines targeting different
muscle groups, allowing for a
more comprehensive and tar-
geted workout. From free
weights to resistance ma-
chines, the gym provides a di-
verse range of tools that can be
customized to suit individual
fitness needs.
STRUCTURED
ENVIRONMENT AND
PROFESSIONAL GUIDANCE
The gym provides a structured
environment that fosters disci-
pline and consistency. Having
a designated space for exercise
can help eliminate distractions
commonly found at home.
Moreover, gyms offer the ex-
pertise of certified trainers who
can guide you in creating a per-
sonalized workout plan, ensur-
ing that you are using proper
form and techniques to maxi-
mize results. For those aiming
to enhance their overall fitness.
The array of specialized equip-
ment available in gyms ca-
ters to diverse fitness
needs, allowing individu-
als to target specific mus-
cle groups effectively. From
free weights to resistance
machines, the gym's offerings
contribute to a more compre-
hensive and customized work-
out experience.
Well trained trainers further
enhance the gym experience
by providing professional
guidance, ensuring proper
form and techniques to opti-
mize workout results. This per-
sonalized approach minimizes
the risk of injuries and maxi-
mizes the efficiency of each
exercise.
MOTIVATION AND
COMMUNITY SUPPORT
The social aspect of the gym
can significantly contribute to
motivation. Exercising along-
side like-minded individuals
creates a positive and com-
petitive atmosphere that can
inspire you to push your limits.
Group classes, personal train-
ing sessions, and the general
camaraderie of fellow gym-
goers can make the workout
experience more enjoyable
and encourage long-term com-
mitment to fitness goals.
VARIETY IN
WORKOUT OPTIONS
Gyms provide a wide range of
workout options, from cardio
machines to
s t r e n g t h
t r a i n i n g
and group
classes. This
diversity helps
prevent bore-
dom and pla-
teaus, keeping your fitness
routine dynamic and challeng-
ing. Most home setups lack the
variety of equipment and
workout choices available at a
well-equipped gym, potential-
ly limiting the scope of your
exercises.
INVESTMENT IN
PERSONAL HEALTH
Paying for a gym membership
can be a powerful motivator.
The financial investment as-
sociated with a gym member-
ship serves as a powerful mo-
tivator, compelling individuals
to maximize their commitment
to fitness. The tangible com-
mitment encourages greater
dedication and consistency,
fostering a proactive approach
to achieving health and well-
ness goals. While home work-
outs have their place, the mul-
tifaceted advantages offered
by the gym make it a compel-
ling choice for those seeking a
holistic and effective fitness
journey. Home workouts, on
the other hand, may lack this
external motivator, making it
easier to skip sessions.
