Course Description
To make a good first impression. There are numerous expressions that can be used
when first greeting people. Some are very formal and appropriate for greeting
Customers and some are more informal and should only be used with friends or co-
workers.
Course Objective
Students will learn various expressions for greetings, introductions, and farewells.
Upon Learning, students will be able to
greet and welcome customers using English

1 BKOF (Background knowledge of study)
Students show how they usually greet customers in their job
Students share experience in their job about greeting and welcoming foreign
customers

2 MOT (Modeling of Text)
Students listen to video and audio about greeting and welcoming customers
Students fill in the blank conversation and answer question based on the audio
they listened

3 JCOT (Joint Constructions of text)
Student are asked to make a pair and have practice using the expressions by
having similar dialogues with a partner, one partner taking the role of the
customers and the other the role of the waiter.
