◦ Exploratory program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital
◦ Doctors, nurses, EMTs, etc. came to talk
◦ First look into what nursing really was

3. So Why Nursing?
◦ 4 years versus 8 in med school
◦ Constant opportunities for advancement
◦ Patient contact
◦ Great schedule
◦ Flexibility within specialties
◦ Whole patient treatment- not just disease treatment

4. What’s Important to Me
◦ Get to know patients
◦ Treat them individually- all illnesses are different depending on the patient
◦ Help make people’s days better
◦ Being able to work in different specialties throughout my career
◦ Positive environment
