Greetings,
My name is Michelle Neyer. I am currently a registered nurse at Vibra Hospital. I work in a long-term
acute care setting. I manage care from vented patients with tele-monitoring on cardiac drips that are
frequently titrated, to patients who are ambulatory and ready for discharge home. I am very diverse in the
care I administer. I believe good communication, critical thinking, strong work ethic, and teamwork are
the most valuable pieces to being a good floor nurse. There are days that are very tough that you need to
be able to think quickly on your feet.
I graduated from a very rigorous nursing program at Xavier University in 2012. My education has helped
me become a better holistic nurse, through Jesuit education I am better equipped to take care of the whole
person: mind, body, and spirit.
I am currently working on my MSN from the University of Michigan with a certification in education. I
hope to one day work as a provider, as well as teach. Since beginning my program I have noticed such
professionalism from the University of Michigan and its affiliates that I wish to strongly become a part of
this dynamic team. I have heard nothing but admiration from peers and coworkers about working for this
health system.
I hope that I can bring my focus and discipline that has exhibited not only in my nursing career, but my
military career as well. As a commissioned officer in the United States Army Reserves, I am very
dedicated, driven, and I thrive in challenging environments. I would love an opportunity to enrich the
lives of patients, families, and staff alike.
Thank you for your time,
Michelle Neyer, RN BSN
