- DAF became a PACCAR company in 1996. PACCAR has 3 truck divisions: Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF. The PACCAR group is the 6th largest heavy truck manufacturer in the world.
- As this map shows, PACCAR operates truck assembly and cab and plants – indicated by the yellow dots in the US, Canada, Europe and Australia, while you also see our future assembly plant in Ponta Grossa, Brazil. The dot in dark blue represents the DAF cab and axle plant in Belgium, while the red dots stand for our highly modern engine plants in Mississippi in the United States and Eindhoven, Europe. PACCAR offers its dealers and customer a class leading parts supply world wide. The dots in light blue represent the PACCAR Parts Distribution Centers in the US, Canada, Europe en Australia. In South America, we operate a highly modern PACCAR Parts Distribution Center in Santiago in Chile and we plan two of these PACCAR Parts Distribution Centers to be established in Brazil to ensure a first class parts supply throughout the country.

Vanwege de sterke economie, en de groei van het aanbod aan vracht, hebben we onze verwachtingen van de Europese zware truckmarkt naar boven bijgesteld naar een range van twee-honderd-negentig tot drie-honderd-tien-duizend voertuigen. De klasse van zes tot zes-tien ton, - aangegeven met de groene balken - zal naar verwachting stabiel blijven op een niveau van op zo’n twee-en-vijftig-duizend trucks.
