Let their dreams

Laxmi and Arjun are happy little kids.
In tattered clothes they were, playing in the muddy street.
When we became friends, on a visit to our Gaushala, in Carterpuri.
They became our first children.The Gurukul Kalpataru was born in April 2012.
We are now 200 Laxmi’s and Arjun’s in Carterpuri & Pachgaon.
The need
There is a rural-urban divide of
culture, education and outlook.
Cities grow on rural land and
resources, The villagers have
minimal benefit. Rural and slum
youth need to have access to
skill development to match the
need of the growing market.
There are challenges.
Inadequate study support at home.
Overcrowded classrooms.

Lands around Gurgaon literally stand on the crossroads in evolution, sitting in the middle of
expanding industrial centres of Manesar, Bawal and Dharuhera. There is constant danger of encroachment
and deforestation of green areas.

vegetation, water conservation and

9. In 2009 Aravindam Foundation converted part of the 8 acres of the Kamdhenudham Gaushala, to a
vibrant garden and plantation.
In 2011 we created a drinking water corner for people and their cattle at Pachgaon.
In 2013 we planted 30 acres of Panchayat land with 3000 trees as part of the proposed 300 acre
INA Veterans Memorial Forest, in the Pachgaon Aravalli hills.
