2. ¿WHAT IS A “PERSONALITY”?
Personality is defined as the characteristic set of behaviors, cognitions,
and emotional patterns that evolve from biological and environmental factors. Most
theories focus on motivation and psychological interactions with one's environment
3. HOW TO MEASURE IT
• Personality can be determined through a variety of tests.
• Two main tools to measure personality are objective tests and projective measures.
Such as:
• Big Five Inventory (BFI)
• Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI-2)
• Rorschach Inkblot test
• Neurotic Personality Questionnaire KON-2006
• Eysenck's Personality Questionnaire (EPQ-R).
4. • Personality differences predict the occurrence of life experiences.
• One study that has shown how the home environment, specifically the types of parents
a person has, can affect and shape their personality.
Study: Mary Ainsworth's Strange Situation experiment showcased how babies reacted to
having their mother leave them alone in a room with a stranger.
Children who were securely attached tend to be more trusting, sociable, and are
confident in their day-to-day life. Children who were disorganized were reported to have
higher levels of anxiety, anger, and risk-taking behavior.
ENVIRONMENT INFLUENCES
6. THE MASTERMIND – INTJ PERSONALITY
INTJs, as introverts, are quiet, reserved, and comfortable being
alone. They are usually self-sufficient and would rather work alone
than in a group. Socializing drains an introvert’s energy, causing
them to need to recharge. INTJs are interested in ideas and
theories.
7. THE GIVER – ENFJ PERSONALITY
• ENFJs are people-focused individuals. They are extroverted, idealistic, charismatic,
outspoken, highly principled and ethical, and usually know how to connect with others
no matter their background or personality. Mainly relying on intuition and feelings,
they tend to live in their imagination rather than in the real world.
8. • ESFJs are the stereotypical extroverts. They are social butterflies, and their need to
interact with others and make people happy usually ends up making them popular.
The ESFJ usually tends to be the cheerleader or sports hero in high school and college.
Later on in life, they continue to revel in the spotlight, and are primarily focused on
organizing social events for their families, friends and communities.
THE PROVIDER – ESFJ PERSONALITY
9. INFPs, like most introverts, are quiet and reserved. They prefer not to talk about
themselves, especially in the first encounter with a new person. They like spending
time alone in quiet places where they can make sense of what is happening around
them. They love analyzing signs and symbols, and consider them to be metaphors
that have deeper meanings related to life.
