● Social media became popular in the mid
2000s
● Once social media came around, so did
social media “influencers”
● Along with these influencers, there
were also celebrities that were very
popular on social media
● Once people got used to the social
media world, companies and big
businesses thought of a great idea…
● Use these influencers and celebrities to
promote their product,

● When social media first started, there
were no ads that go along with these
sites
● Now that has changed…
● Companies pay instagram, snapchat,
twitter, etc to promote their product on
the followers feed.
● In order to get rid of these ads, you
would have to pay.
Businesses on Social Media
● Businesses have been around for
forever on social media platforms.
● They create an account and make posts
promoting their products to all of their
followers.
● This was already a great form of
marketing, but they had to add even
more to it.
Influencers on Social Media
● Businesses thought of an even better
way to promote their products.
● They pay these influencers or
celebrities money to promote their
product to their following.
● These influencers or celebrities would
make about a 2 minute video or post
talking about the product and linking it
to their post
● They would also usually include a
discount code to make followers even
more intrigued.
Why Social Media Marketing is a Good Idea
● Influencers can bring many new people
to be interested in product.
● Think about it… You see your favorite
youtuber, actor, instagram influencer,
etc promoting a product that you are
even just a little bit interested in. If the
Influencer says it’s a good product, then
you are going to believe that, saying the
same, and then eventually consider
purchasing the product.
● Social Media Marketing is a genius idea.

Commercials Involving Influencers
● Commercials are already a great way to
promote a product, but when you add an
influencer in it the marketing gets even
better
● Bringing popular, highly liked people
into a commercial then people will go
crazy over that product.
Where will social Media Marketing be in the future?
● It will be even more popular than it is
now
● I could see it being the biggest way to
advertise
● It will keep rising, possibly annoying
some people that don’t care about the
product.
● It could take over to a bad extent, but
good for the company.
Conclusion
● Social media marketing isn’t going
anywhere anytime soon.
● It will continue to be the future of
promoting.
● Influencers will make lots of money off
of it, but the companies will make even
more making them even more
successful.
● People will keep buying based on their
favorite influencer promoting a
product.

  • 3. Background Cont. ● When social media first started, there were no ads that go along with these sites ● Now that has changed… ● Companies pay instagram, snapchat, twitter, etc to promote their product on the followers feed. ● In order to get rid of these ads, you would have to pay.
  • 4. Businesses on Social Media ● Businesses have been around for forever on social media platforms. ● They create an account and make posts promoting their products to all of their followers. ● This was already a great form of marketing, but they had to add even more to it.
  • 5. Influencers on Social Media ● Businesses thought of an even better way to promote their products. ● They pay these influencers or celebrities money to promote their product to their following. ● These influencers or celebrities would make about a 2 minute video or post talking about the product and linking it to their post ● They would also usually include a discount code to make followers even more intrigued.

Why Social Media Marketing is a Good Idea ● Influencers can bring many new people to be interested in product. ● Think about it… You see your favorite youtuber, actor, instagram influencer, etc promoting a product that you are even just a little bit interested in. If the Influencer says it’s a good product, then you are going to believe that, saying the same, and then eventually consider purchasing the product. ● Social Media Marketing is a genius idea.

  • 8. Commercials Involving Influencers ● Commercials are already a great way to promote a product, but when you add an influencer in it the marketing gets even better ● Bringing popular, highly liked people into a commercial then people will go crazy over that product.

Where will social Media Marketing be in the future? ● It will be even more popular than it is now ● I could see it being the biggest way to advertise ● It will keep rising, possibly annoying some people that don’t care about the product. ● It could take over to a bad extent, but good for the company.

Conclusion ● Social media marketing isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. ● It will continue to be the future of promoting. ● Influencers will make lots of money off of it, but the companies will make even more making them even more successful. ● People will keep buying based on their favorite influencer promoting a product.
