Mind Maps/Brainstorms
• Possible products
• Leaflet
• 1 – This could show all the different produce and give a written description of them as well as showing and talking about
how they can be used in every day life. Images would accompany this to give a visual aid for the product. This would also
show the website address clearly on the front of the leaflet. 3 SIDES
• 2 – Not include all products, just the most popular ones, this leaflet would be aimed at people not company's. It would
include information about the company as well as delivery information. This will have a more wide range of information,
it will also include a price list for every product, however this will be on the back of the leaflet. Like the first idea this
leaflet would also have the website address and contact information on the front page. 2 SIDES (like a book)
• Letter head/ logo
• 1 – Using the logo and contact information, create a slogan/ tag line that could also be used in this, include the logo and
keep with the colour scheme of green, white and dark grey.
• 2 – Create a new logo that is more simple, sticking with the theme of the logo but making it more recognisable, then
using this as well as a slogan to create a letter head.
• Business card
• 1 – Simple, relevant information. Company name, web address, address, phone number, e-mail. As well as a description
of the company. Showing four little images of the most popular products, two next to each other and two directly
underneath. This would also have a a white background with grey text, and would include the logo and slogan.
• 2 – This could be a double sided business card that will have all the relevant information listed in the first idea but will
have the four images of the back of the card. However the images on the back will not be up to full opacity and will have
the slogan or the company name over them.
• Poster
• 1- This poster would be A3 and would have the company name and logo at the top, it will then have an image of a
product on the right hand side and a description of what it is and where it can be used in every day life. Underneath this
there will be an image on the left hand side and a description like the first one. This will the continue for the length of the
poster showing images and giving description of the six post popular products. At the bottom of the page there would be
a ’contact us’ section with the website address and e-mail as well as the telephone number and address.
• 2 – I could make a poster that showed the products in use, for example in a garden, this would be more focused on the
product when it was in use. The prices of the products would not be advertised on the posters as they are more focused
on the product itself rather than the value for money. This poster would be very colourful and have lots of images on it to
grab the audiences attention.
Colour Scheme
Colours used on website
This keeps with the colours used
on the website but adds the
different greens and the brown.

Assessing ideas
Now you have generated lots of potential ideas, it is
time to rationalise those against the requirements of
the brief from your client.
Use the next few slides to consolidate your ideas and
then assess them against the requirements and
constraints of the project.
Finally, select an idea to take forward for further
development.
Idea 1
• My first idea is one for a leaflet, this leaflet will show most of the products that the company sell, with a
brief description and example of where they are used in real life. Images would accompany this to give a
visual aid for the product. This leaflet is aimed more at the company's who are looking to sell these
products on such as garden centres. This would also show the website address clearly on the front of
the leaflet. 3 SIDES
• One aspect that is important to this idea is that the products and pieces are clear, this leaflet is a lot like
a price list, this is not as much focused on the promotion of the product and more about giving the
audience more information about the products and their pieces. On both of the leaflets I have through
about designing the website address and telephone number are very clearly shown on the front of the
leaflet as these are the two main ways that the customer is going to buy the products. As well as this the
name of the company, their logo and slogan will also be present on the front of the leaflet.
Evaluation of idea
• What do you like about the idea?
• Something that I like about this idea is the way that everything will be clearly
set out and easy to understand. I also like the idea of explain to the audience
where the product can be used in real life, like in a garden or drive way, this
makes it easier for the company to understand what the product is used for.
• Does it match what the client wants?
• My client has not been very specific with their requirements however they did
say that they wanted me to make them a leaflet. They have not been specific
about the style or content of the leaflet.
• Are you capable of delivering this?
• I think that this idea is something that I would be capable of doing, I would
need to find out more about the actually products and what they are used for.
In the passed I have made leaflets with information and images in them and I
think I have enough time and knowledge to make this.
• Can you do this on time?
• As this is only one part of what I am making I do feel that this would be
achievable to create within the the time frame.
• Do you have the resources available to do this?
• Yes, I have the correct software and all the information and images I will need.
Idea 2
• My second idea is also for a leaflet, however this would be aimed at people who are looking to buy
products for personal use not company's such as garden centre.
• Not include all products, just the most popular ones, this leaflet would be aimed at people not
company's. It would include information about the company as well as delivery information. This show
all the different produce and give a written description of them as well as showing and talking about
how they can be used in every day life. It will have a more wide range of information, it will also include
a price list for every product, however this will be on the back of the leaflet. Like the first idea this leaflet
would also have the website address and contact information on the front page. 2 SIDES (like a book)
• A this leaflet is aimed more at normal people it will not show all the different types of products, just the
ones that are most popular, this is because this booklet will have more information about the actuall
company and the delivery as well as a price list on the back meaning that it will not have as much room.
As well as this, this leaflet will fold like a book, making it look more like a booklet rather than a leaflet. *
Evaluation of idea
• What do you like about the idea?
• I like the way that this leaflet is much more personal with the customer, as there is an
introduction to the company, almost like they are introducing themselves to the
customer. As well as this, because this is amide at people buying smaller amounts and
getting them delivered it gives a wider range of information that includes details about
the delivery.
• Does it match what the client wants?
• My client has not been specific on what exactly they want however they have said they
they want a leaflet, apart from this they have not given me any specific guide lines.
• Are you capable of delivering this?
• I think that I am capable of creating this as I have made successful leaflets in previous
project.
• Can you do this on time?
• I believe that I would be capable of creating this within the time frame, I am planning
for this to only be one section not my complete project.
• Do you have the resources available to do this?
• I have all the resources I need, I have the software on the computer and all the
information has been given to my by the company about the products, as well as the
images that I can use.
Idea 3
• My their idea is for a logo and letter head, this will consist of a new logo, similar to the original one
however I will try to make it simpler and therefore more recognisable. As well as this I will either create
a new slogan or use the one that the company already has, I will also include the contact details, only
the phone number and email address as these are the two most important things.
• For the new logo I would use the flower that is in the centre of the original logo and make that bigger
and remove the little house that surrounds it. I think that this would be effective in making the logo
more recognisable because it could be placed on smaller products and promotional material. I will also
make another version of the logo that includes the slogan, I will either use the slogan the company
already has ‘Build, Cover & Create’ or I will make a new one up.
Evaluation of idea
• What do you like about the idea?
• Something that I like about this idea is that the logo will be simplified but it will still be
recognised by customers that already shop at this company. I also like the way that all the
relevant information will be all together and will make a letter head that looks professional
and consist.
• Does it match what the client wants?
• My client has not been specific with what they want, they have asked or two specific
products but apart from this I have the freedom to create whatever I feel will be useful to
them.
• Are you capable of delivering this?
• I think that because I am editing the original logo that already exists and organising the
information it will be achievable, by using the information and assets that I already have it
makes the task easier as I am not designing a logo or letter head from scratch.
• Can you do this on time?
• Again because I already have the assets that I need to work from I do not think that this idea
will take me very long. As well as this, this idea is only part of what I intend to make and will
not take up all of my time.
• Do you have the resources available to do this?
• I do have all of the resources I need to create this, I have all the software on the computer
and the information and original logo from the company.
Idea 4
• This idea was for a business card, this card will be simple and include the relevant information. Company
name, web address, address, phone number, e-mail. As well as a description of the company. Showing
four little images of the most popular products, two next to each other and two directly underneath.
This would also have a a white background with grey text, and would include the logo and slogan.
• I will use four little images of four different products, these will illustrate the card and make it look
more interesting. To show which information is most important I will use visual hierarchy and different
colours to show which information is more important than others. I will also make the logo quite big so
that people are more likely to see and remember it.
Evaluation of idea
• What do you like about the idea?
• Something that I like about this idea is the way that the information will be simple and
consist, I also like that the use of different shades of grey will give the text weight and
create a visual hierarchy.
• Does it match what the client wants?
• My client has asked me to make a business card, they have not been specific as to what
they want from this they have just stated that the logo must be present on it, which in
my idea it is.
• Are you capable of delivering this?
• I think that I am capable of creating this idea, although I have not made business cards
in my previous projects I feel I have the experience wand knowledge of the company to
be able to create them an effective business card.
• Can you do this on time?
• I think this will be possible to do in the time frame I have, I already have the images and
logo and information I need, I will just need to arrange them in an effective way.
• Do you have the resources available to do this?
• I do have the resources I need, I have all the images and logo and information I need
from the company and I have the software on the computer to create the card.
Idea 5
• My fifth idea is for another business card, this one however will be double sided, it will have the same
information as the other card but will have images on the back. These images will overlap each other
and will not be up to full opacity and will have either the slogan or the company name/ logo on over
them.
• Like the first card all the relevant information will be on the front of the card, the name, address, web
link, email ect. It will also have a slightly longer description of the company and what it dose. However
the main change is the back of the card, this will have the four images on, they will not be to full opacity
and will have wither the slogan or company name/ logo on the.
Evaluation of idea
• What do you like about the idea?
• The main thing I like about this idea is the back side of the card having the
images on it, and having the slogan or name/logo on it, I think this will make
the card look professional.
• Does it match what the client wants?
• My client has said they they do want me to create a business card, the only
specification that they have set is that it must include the logo, which this idea
dose.
• Are you capable of delivering this?
• I think this will be harder than my first idea for a business card however I do
think this is achievable even if it is slightly more challenging.
• Can you do this on time?
• I will be able to create this card in the time frame that I have, it is only a small
part of my fill project and will be done within the two weeks that I have.
• Do you have the resources available to do this?
• I have all the information and images and logo that I need from the company
and I have the software on the computer that I need.
Idea 6
• My sixth idea is for a poster, this is simpler to the leaflet with the way it is laid out. This poster would be
A3 and would have the company name and logo at the top, it will then have an image of a product on
the right hand side and a description of what it is and where it can be used in every day life. Underneath
this there will be an image on the left hand side and a description like the first one. This will the
continue for the length of the poster showing images and giving description of the six post popular
products. At the bottom of the page there would be a ’contact us’ section with the website address and
e-mail as well as the telephone number and address.
Evaluation of idea
• What do you like about the idea?
• Something that I like about this idea is the way that the information is laid out
clearly. I also think that using just the six most popular products that my client
sells, this shows the audience what is most popular.
• Does it match what the client wants?
• My client has only asked me to create two specific things, therefore I have the
freedom to create different ideas to show them and to create as well as what
they have asked for.
• Are you capable of delivering this?
• I think that I am capable to delivering this as I have created posters as part of
previous project and they have been successful.
• Can you do this on time?
• I think I will be able to create this in the small time frame I have because I
already have the information I need to create this and I also already have the
images that I need.
• Do you have the resources available to do this?
• I have all the resources I need for this poster, I have the information and
images from the company and the software on my computer to actually create
the poster.
Idea 7
• My final idea is another poster, this one will be focused on what the products can create and what they
are used for in real life. This poster will show the products in use, for example in a garden, this would be
more focused on the product when it was in use. The prices of the products would not be advertised on
the posters as they are more focused on the product itself rather than the value for money. This poster
would be very colourful and have lots of images on it to grab the audiences attention.
• This poster is aimed at people who will buy their products directly from this company rather than buying
them from a garden centre, by showing them what the products can look like, I think will be more
persuasive then showing them a price list of all the products.
• The final product that I have decided to develop further us the poster, this poster is designed to show
the audience what the products my client sells can become. This is similar to one of my leaflets however
this poster will reach a wider audience and will not be as detailed but will be more eye catching and
nicer to look at.
Evaluation of idea
• What do you like about the idea?
• The thing I like most about this idea is the way that the poster will show the postnasal
the different products have and how they can be used to create different things. I also
like the way that it will stand out because of all the colours that will be used on it.
• Does it match what the client wants?
• My client has not been specific with what they want, they have not asked me to make a
poster however I feel it will be a useful asset on top of what they have already asked me
to make.
• Are you capable of delivering this?
• I think that I am capable of delivering this because I have experience of making posters
for different course's and most of them have been successful in the past.
• Can you do this on time?
• I think that this will be achievable with the time frame that I have because I already
have the iamges and information I need I just need to make this look nice in a poster
form.
• Do you have the resources available to do this?
• I do have all the assets I need, all the information and images I need will be provided by
the compant and the software I need is on the computer I am working on.
Idea Evaluation
Which of your ideas do you want to develop further? Explain why you think that is
the right idea to take forward.
The ideas that I would like to create are 1,2 and 5.
I have decided to develop my first idea further as I think it it will be an effective way
for my client to give clear list of products in print, not just on the internet. As well as
this, my client has asked me to create a leaflet and I think this will be successful for
one section of the people who buy from this company already, as well as other people
like them.
The second idea I have decided to develop further is the second leaflet, I think that
this will be a good idea to develop because it targets a different audience and also
because it gives customers a wide range of information about the different products
as well as the delivery process and some information about the company. As my client
has asked me to create a leaflet, I think that giving them two that are different from
each other and both serve different purposes will be helpful.
I have also decided to create my double sided business card, my client has asked me to
create them a business card and I think this is the version that I like the most and they
they will also like the most. I think that this card is more challenging for me also and
that the end product will look the most professional.
Development
Use the next slides to document your idea development.
This should include mood boards and other visual examples of work. It
could include basic mock ups of your vision for the project using the
work of others.
If you are taking doing something outside of your ordinary skill set or
way of working, you could include test work or practice work here too.
There is room to develop a second idea here as well. This could give
you a greater variety of options to give to your client.
You will then assess your developed idea against the constraints of the
project before producing a final treatment.
Developed Idea 1
This is the first drat of my
front cover of my leaflet, it
shows the name of the
company, logo and contact
information.
On the back of this leaflet
there will be a full price list of
everything that my client
sells.
On the inside on the first
page there will be an
introduction to the
company, this will explain
who they are and what they
do. Then there will be
information about how the
deliveries work.
On the second page on the inside there will be information
about the 6 top selling products that my client sells, there
will be an image of them in use, then a short description of
what they are and what they can be used for. This page will
have six products not four, this will show the top 6 products
that my client sells.
Developed Idea 1
Developed Idea 1
Things that have changed
- The price list has been shortened because not all of the products will fit onto the
small part of the leaflet. Because of this I have listed the six top selling products
that are sold my my client, as well as this I have taken different products from
different sections of my clients website and put these on the list. This gives a
varied list of products showing the different types of stuff that they sell, I have
also stated that to find more information and the rest of the products to visit the
website at the bottom of this page.
- Something that also changed was that I did not use the top six product my client
sells, I only displayed 4, this was because if I had used sex products the page
would have looked uneven. There was also not enough room to talk about the
products and explain what they would be used for in every day life which was one
of my main aims with this product.
Developed Idea 2
This is the first draft for the front cover of me
second leaflet, it is very simpler to the first leaflet,
it has the company name, logo and slogan in the
middle and the contact information at the bottom
of the page.
One the back page of this leaflet there will be a full
price list of all the products that my client sells. This is
so all the products can be seen then the customer can
see the different prices for different products.
Through out the rest of the leaflet there is a full list of
all of the products that my client sells. The products will
be shown on the right hand side of the page then will
have a description of them next to the image. Unlike
the first leaflet, these will simply just be images of the
product itself, not an image of it in use.
Developed Idea 2
Developed Idea 2
For this leaflet I have decided to change it to be a ‘gavel guide’, I have done this
because I think that it was more relevant to the product than a leaflet. As well as
this, because this is just a product list it gives the reader a clear title and they know
what they are looking at when they pick up the booklet.
Something else that I changed about this leaflet is that instead of having a
description of the product I have listed what they are used for. I have done this
because there was not enough space to give a good sized image and a description
that made sense, because of this I have taken the uses of each product and listed
them instead.
Developed Idea 3
Developed Idea 3
Developed Idea 3
Something that I have changed on the business card is the front, I have changed
the way this has been laid out as I think that after playing around with the original
idea in Photoshop this looks better overall. When I created the original idea in
Photoshop it looked very cramped, however I am still playing around with different
ideas.
Something that I think can be improved is the lack of information on the front side
if the card, although it looked cramp on Photoshop I think that there is not enough
information on this draft. I think that there should be a description of what the
company dose. As well as this, I am still undecided about whether I will keep the
white background on the logo on the back of the card and remove it. I still need to
get a better quality logo from my client.
Assessment of final ideas
Suitable for audience?
I think that my products are suitable for the my different audiences and they all
target different people, the two different leaflets target two different sections of my
audience.
Suitability for client?
The products I plan to make are suitable for my client, my client asked for a
business card and a leaflet. However I felt that making the two different types of
leaflets fit the different audience and gave me more to make in the time that I
have.
Appeal of the work:
One thing that I think is appealing about my ideas is that they are all very clear,
they show the audience what they need to know and also gives them other extra
information.
Timescales for production:
I have two weeks to create these three products which I think is very possible, I
already have the different resources that I need for the products I am making.
Costs: There is no cost to these different products apart from the printing costs at
the end of the project when everything is finished and ready to be made.
Personnel: I do not need any personnel to help me with this project, I have all the
images and information that I need already therefore I will not need any help from
other people.
Assessment of final ideas
Legal and ethical issues:
Firstly as I am not using any models in any of my images, I do not need to get written
consent from anyone. All the images I am using are from the UK gravel website and
therefore they have the copy right on these images, as well as this, any other images
that I use will be taken by myself. Because college have a bought a Photoshop licence
the fonts that are on Photoshop are free to use and because I am using one from there
and I have not downloaded it myself I am able to use it.
Research
What is their design/photography/marketing/promotional/advertising work like?
They currently only have their website and eBay page as ways of promotional material,
they do not have any adverts or leaflets ect. They have just recently had a new website
mad which looks more modern and more organised.
What wider market is your client part of? Undertake research in to that market. This
could be in the form of sales figures, audience figures, turnover, job roles, customer base,
market share, rules, regulations and codes of practice.
Competition/Market research:
Who is in competition with your client?
Specific competitors ( four top competitors with my client)
https://www.stones4homes.co.uk - A smaller company that are in direct competition with my company, located
within the same region – Selby
https://www.stonewarehouse.co.uk - in direct competitors, similar style and information – deliver ect.
Gravel Master - https://www.gravelmaster.co.uk - Online business,
http://decorativeaggregates.com
- These are all companys that my client see’s as threats to their buisness, these all sell the same products and are
all prometally online baced.
Larger companys
Online Gravel - http://www.onlinegravel.co.uk - most of UK Gravels customs buy online, through their website or
eBay page.
Wickes - http://www.wickes.co.uk - these are a big nation wide store that also have shops that people can buy
from, it is not just an online business. They also have more money to spend on big television adverts, however
they sell lots of different things from paint to fences.
Sand and Gravel Direct - https://www.sandandgraveldirect.co.uk - Also similar to UK gravel as all products are sold
online.
There are about 300 businesses of varying sizes in the UK aggregates industry, ranging from very small to very
large.-
The top five movers, Tarmac, Hanson, Aggregate Industries, Cemex and Lafarge, account for 60% of the
aggregates market, including primary aggregates and recycled materials, 75% of ready-mix concrete and some
asphalt.
Lafarge and Anglo American (Tarmac) have announced plans to merge their UK construction materials businesses,
forming a company that would have more than a 30% share of the aggregates, asphalt and cement market.

Aggregates
The wider industry that UK Gravel comes under is ‘aggregates’ this isa wide ragnge of different
particular material including gravel, sand, stone and slag. Aggregates are the most mined materials in
the world.
Sales and production figures

The Mineral Products Association (MPA) is the trade association for the aggregates, asphalt,
cement, concrete, lime, mortar and silica sand industries.MPA figures show that each year the
industry supplies more than £5 billion (€6.1 billion) of materials to the £120 billion (€146 billion)
construction sector and others.

Style and Promotional material
When I first spoke to my client they said they didn't think they really had a style as the
only thing they had made was a website and they has got someone else to make that.
After looking at the website with them we discussed different styles and they would
now class their style and clean, clear and professional. We also talked about what they
would like to achieve from the products that I was making and they said that they
would like my to keep with the colour scheme of green gray and white, I like this
colour scheme I think that it looks clear and the colours go well together. They also
asked that I would make sure the information was clear and that it was not cramp
together, they like the way that on the website everything has its own space.
My client currently do not have any promotional material or advertising of any form,
in this respect I have lots of freedom to create a promotional theme and style,
although I have been given some guide lines.

Audience/Customer research:
Who is the audience or customer that your client is trying to reach? Perhaps they have already told
you. Perhaps you should ask. You could also do further research in to the type of audience or
customer you are hoping to appeal to.
I have spoken to my client about their target audience and they said that they have
several different groups of people that buy from them them a lot. Businesses, families
and retired people, this is a very wide group of target audience, due to this I have
narrowed the target audience to two different groups, businesses and families. I have
chosen to do this because these are the two groups that my cleint want to try and reach
out to.
Families
This group is focused of people who are moving house or have small children and want
to sort their gardens out.
Age 27-37
Demographic – ABC
Gender – both, this is usually a joint decision
Businesses
Garden Centers + Nursery's
More likely to buy in bulk
Know about the different products
Would be buying to resell the different products in smaller packages.

Delivery
We deliver using a kerbside tail lift vehicle, we do not deliver using HI AB cranes.
The area where the pallet will be offloaded needs to be a hard standing level
surface. Examples of these include tarmac, concrete and block paving.
The manual operated pallet trucks cannot operate on soft or loose grounds.
Examples of these include grass and gravel. These examples are unsuitable and
the pallet will only be left Kerbside if the driver seems it safe to do so on the day.
The road where the delivery address is located needs to be suitable for access
for the delivery vehicle. This also includes the roads leading up to the property.
An 18 Tonne vehicle is approximately the same size as a dustbin lorry.
The delivery cannot be made onto sloping grounds. The pallets will not be able
to be removed using the tail lift as it will not be able to lay flat on the ground.
UK Landscaping & Building aims to deliver all purchases within 2 – 3 working
days of the receipt of your order. For next day deliveries, orders needs to be
placed before 13:00 Monday to Thursday. Any order placed before 13:00 on
Friday will be delivered the following Monday. This does not apply to Bank
Holidays when the delivery will be made the following Tuesday.
Treatment:
The treatment evokes how an audience will experience what you are making.
Write in the active-voice in present tense. Tell the reader what they will see.
Describe the content of your project.
Write vibrantly, so the reader gets excited about your work. They should be able to
visualise the finished pieces. You could also supplement this with some mood boards or
mock ups.
Be specific—don’t use words like may, might or possibly.
Treatment
The first product I am going to be making you is a leaflet, this will be used to show the public just what
you sell and how they can use it in their own life's. This booklet will be A5 and will be folded like a
book, it will be one sheet of paper therefore creating 4 pages full of useful information for your
customers. On the front there will be your logo and contact information as well as the name of you
business and logo at the top so everyone knows where to go to buy the products. When you open the
booklet on the left hand side page there will be a welcome section, all about your company and what
you do, this introduces the company to the company. This will take but half the page, on the bottom
half there will be information about the way that you deliver so that there is no confusion from the
customer, this will be a short section so that the reader dose not have lots of text to read.
On the right hand page there will be your four top selling products, this will show the customer the
products they are most likely to be buying. The first product is Play Bark Chipping, there will be an
image of the product on the left hand side of the page and a short description next to it, importantly
explaining how the product can be used in their life. This will then be repeated for the next three
product, Mushroom compost, Pine play bark and Plum slate. However the image will be on alternative
sides to give the page more space and to make it look like there is less text. When you turn over on to
the back of the leaflet you will find a price list, now, this will not show all of your products because you
sell so many they just wont all fit! However I have chosen a wide range of products from each different
set of product, creating a varied and well catering price list for all different customers to brose. As well
as this the website link will be at the bottom of the page saying ‘ for more products visit our website’
this give the customer a reason the visit the website and that will give them even more reason to by
your products.
The second product I will be creating for you is a business card, this wil be 2.5 by 3 inches in size,
perfect to fit in a wollet or purse. This holds all the information a customer could need about your
company and what you sell, the card will be double sided to create space and style. On the front side
there will be your company name and all your contact information
Treatment
there will be your company name and all your contact information so that anyone who you give your
card to knows exactly where to find you. Your contact information includes your sales email, your
telephone number and the link to your website. As well as this on the front page there will be a short
description of who you are and what you do, like the introduction on the leaflet this section introduces
you to the customer. On the other side of the card there well be 6 images of different product that you
sell, these images will not be up to full opacity, with these images in the background, your company
logo will then take center stage. Your logo will be up to full opacity making it stand out against the
other images, this also makes you logo recognizable and connects to to the business for everyone who
has your business card.
Third and finally, the last product I will be creating for you is another leaflet, however this time it will
be in the style of a ‘gravel guide’, this guide is aimed more at people who are already buying from you.
The front cover will be similar to the previous leaflet front cover, with you company name, logo and
contact information, this will also say ‘Gravel Guide’ on the front so that everyone knows what it is.
When you open the guide you will be faced with four different gravels, there will be images of them
down the left hand side of the page, these images are the same as the ones from your website for the
different gravels to limit confusion. On the right hand side of the page there will be the name of the
specific gravel as well as what their main uses are as they are listed on your website, this will be
continued throughout the leaflet on every page apart from the back. There will be four different
gravels on each page, meaning not every gravel will be present on the guide, but like the previous
leaflet there will be the link to your website at the bottom of every page. This creates a clear guide to
which gravel dose what and what it looks like, I have kept the amount of gravel on a page to four as it
means that pages look more spacious and there is a decent sized image. On the final page on the back
of the guide there will be a full price list of all the different gravels you sell even the ones that are not
featured through the rest of the guide.

the 3 weeks of production. This should include:

Idea development

  • 1. Client Project Pro- Forma name
  • 2. Mind Maps/Brainstorms Star by using the first few slides to create mind maps and or brainstorms for ideas related to your project. Get as many possibilities as you can. Don’t worry about practicality, suitability or potential at this stage. You will assess the ideas later.
  • 5. Mind Maps/Brainstorms • Possible products • Leaflet • 1 – This could show all the different produce and give a written description of them as well as showing and talking about how they can be used in every day life. Images would accompany this to give a visual aid for the product. This would also show the website address clearly on the front of the leaflet. 3 SIDES • 2 – Not include all products, just the most popular ones, this leaflet would be aimed at people not company's. It would include information about the company as well as delivery information. This will have a more wide range of information, it will also include a price list for every product, however this will be on the back of the leaflet. Like the first idea this leaflet would also have the website address and contact information on the front page. 2 SIDES (like a book) • Letter head/ logo • 1 – Using the logo and contact information, create a slogan/ tag line that could also be used in this, include the logo and keep with the colour scheme of green, white and dark grey. • 2 – Create a new logo that is more simple, sticking with the theme of the logo but making it more recognisable, then using this as well as a slogan to create a letter head. • Business card • 1 – Simple, relevant information. Company name, web address, address, phone number, e-mail. As well as a description of the company. Showing four little images of the most popular products, two next to each other and two directly underneath. This would also have a a white background with grey text, and would include the logo and slogan. • 2 – This could be a double sided business card that will have all the relevant information listed in the first idea but will have the four images of the back of the card. However the images on the back will not be up to full opacity and will have the slogan or the company name over them. • Poster • 1- This poster would be A3 and would have the company name and logo at the top, it will then have an image of a product on the right hand side and a description of what it is and where it can be used in every day life. Underneath this there will be an image on the left hand side and a description like the first one. This will the continue for the length of the poster showing images and giving description of the six post popular products. At the bottom of the page there would be a ’contact us’ section with the website address and e-mail as well as the telephone number and address. • 2 – I could make a poster that showed the products in use, for example in a garden, this would be more focused on the product when it was in use. The prices of the products would not be advertised on the posters as they are more focused on the product itself rather than the value for money. This poster would be very colourful and have lots of images on it to grab the audiences attention.
  • 6. Colour Scheme Colours used on website This keeps with the colours used on the website but adds the different greens and the brown.

  • 10. Assessing ideas Now you have generated lots of potential ideas, it is time to rationalise those against the requirements of the brief from your client. Use the next few slides to consolidate your ideas and then assess them against the requirements and constraints of the project. Finally, select an idea to take forward for further development.
  • 11. Idea 1 • My first idea is one for a leaflet, this leaflet will show most of the products that the company sell, with a brief description and example of where they are used in real life. Images would accompany this to give a visual aid for the product. This leaflet is aimed more at the company's who are looking to sell these products on such as garden centres. This would also show the website address clearly on the front of the leaflet. 3 SIDES • One aspect that is important to this idea is that the products and pieces are clear, this leaflet is a lot like a price list, this is not as much focused on the promotion of the product and more about giving the audience more information about the products and their pieces. On both of the leaflets I have through about designing the website address and telephone number are very clearly shown on the front of the leaflet as these are the two main ways that the customer is going to buy the products. As well as this the name of the company, their logo and slogan will also be present on the front of the leaflet.
  • 12. Evaluation of idea • What do you like about the idea? • Something that I like about this idea is the way that everything will be clearly set out and easy to understand. I also like the idea of explain to the audience where the product can be used in real life, like in a garden or drive way, this makes it easier for the company to understand what the product is used for. • Does it match what the client wants? • My client has not been very specific with their requirements however they did say that they wanted me to make them a leaflet. They have not been specific about the style or content of the leaflet. • Are you capable of delivering this? • I think that this idea is something that I would be capable of doing, I would need to find out more about the actually products and what they are used for. In the passed I have made leaflets with information and images in them and I think I have enough time and knowledge to make this. • Can you do this on time? • As this is only one part of what I am making I do feel that this would be achievable to create within the the time frame. • Do you have the resources available to do this? • Yes, I have the correct software and all the information and images I will need.
  • 13. Idea 2 • My second idea is also for a leaflet, however this would be aimed at people who are looking to buy products for personal use not company's such as garden centre. • Not include all products, just the most popular ones, this leaflet would be aimed at people not company's. It would include information about the company as well as delivery information. This show all the different produce and give a written description of them as well as showing and talking about how they can be used in every day life. It will have a more wide range of information, it will also include a price list for every product, however this will be on the back of the leaflet. Like the first idea this leaflet would also have the website address and contact information on the front page. 2 SIDES (like a book) • A this leaflet is aimed more at normal people it will not show all the different types of products, just the ones that are most popular, this is because this booklet will have more information about the actuall company and the delivery as well as a price list on the back meaning that it will not have as much room. As well as this, this leaflet will fold like a book, making it look more like a booklet rather than a leaflet. *
  • 14. Evaluation of idea • What do you like about the idea? • I like the way that this leaflet is much more personal with the customer, as there is an introduction to the company, almost like they are introducing themselves to the customer. As well as this, because this is amide at people buying smaller amounts and getting them delivered it gives a wider range of information that includes details about the delivery. • Does it match what the client wants? • My client has not been specific on what exactly they want however they have said they they want a leaflet, apart from this they have not given me any specific guide lines. • Are you capable of delivering this? • I think that I am capable of creating this as I have made successful leaflets in previous project. • Can you do this on time? • I believe that I would be capable of creating this within the time frame, I am planning for this to only be one section not my complete project. • Do you have the resources available to do this? • I have all the resources I need, I have the software on the computer and all the information has been given to my by the company about the products, as well as the images that I can use.
  • 15. Idea 3 • My their idea is for a logo and letter head, this will consist of a new logo, similar to the original one however I will try to make it simpler and therefore more recognisable. As well as this I will either create a new slogan or use the one that the company already has, I will also include the contact details, only the phone number and email address as these are the two most important things. • For the new logo I would use the flower that is in the centre of the original logo and make that bigger and remove the little house that surrounds it. I think that this would be effective in making the logo more recognisable because it could be placed on smaller products and promotional material. I will also make another version of the logo that includes the slogan, I will either use the slogan the company already has ‘Build, Cover & Create’ or I will make a new one up.
  • 16. Evaluation of idea • What do you like about the idea? • Something that I like about this idea is that the logo will be simplified but it will still be recognised by customers that already shop at this company. I also like the way that all the relevant information will be all together and will make a letter head that looks professional and consist. • Does it match what the client wants? • My client has not been specific with what they want, they have asked or two specific products but apart from this I have the freedom to create whatever I feel will be useful to them. • Are you capable of delivering this? • I think that because I am editing the original logo that already exists and organising the information it will be achievable, by using the information and assets that I already have it makes the task easier as I am not designing a logo or letter head from scratch. • Can you do this on time? • Again because I already have the assets that I need to work from I do not think that this idea will take me very long. As well as this, this idea is only part of what I intend to make and will not take up all of my time. • Do you have the resources available to do this? • I do have all of the resources I need to create this, I have all the software on the computer and the information and original logo from the company.
  • 17. Idea 4 • This idea was for a business card, this card will be simple and include the relevant information. Company name, web address, address, phone number, e-mail. As well as a description of the company. Showing four little images of the most popular products, two next to each other and two directly underneath. This would also have a a white background with grey text, and would include the logo and slogan. • I will use four little images of four different products, these will illustrate the card and make it look more interesting. To show which information is most important I will use visual hierarchy and different colours to show which information is more important than others. I will also make the logo quite big so that people are more likely to see and remember it.
  • 18. Evaluation of idea • What do you like about the idea? • Something that I like about this idea is the way that the information will be simple and consist, I also like that the use of different shades of grey will give the text weight and create a visual hierarchy. • Does it match what the client wants? • My client has asked me to make a business card, they have not been specific as to what they want from this they have just stated that the logo must be present on it, which in my idea it is. • Are you capable of delivering this? • I think that I am capable of creating this idea, although I have not made business cards in my previous projects I feel I have the experience wand knowledge of the company to be able to create them an effective business card. • Can you do this on time? • I think this will be possible to do in the time frame I have, I already have the images and logo and information I need, I will just need to arrange them in an effective way. • Do you have the resources available to do this? • I do have the resources I need, I have all the images and logo and information I need from the company and I have the software on the computer to create the card.
  • 19. Idea 5 • My fifth idea is for another business card, this one however will be double sided, it will have the same information as the other card but will have images on the back. These images will overlap each other and will not be up to full opacity and will have either the slogan or the company name/ logo on over them. • Like the first card all the relevant information will be on the front of the card, the name, address, web link, email ect. It will also have a slightly longer description of the company and what it dose. However the main change is the back of the card, this will have the four images on, they will not be to full opacity and will have wither the slogan or company name/ logo on the.
  • 20. Evaluation of idea • What do you like about the idea? • The main thing I like about this idea is the back side of the card having the images on it, and having the slogan or name/logo on it, I think this will make the card look professional. • Does it match what the client wants? • My client has said they they do want me to create a business card, the only specification that they have set is that it must include the logo, which this idea dose. • Are you capable of delivering this? • I think this will be harder than my first idea for a business card however I do think this is achievable even if it is slightly more challenging. • Can you do this on time? • I will be able to create this card in the time frame that I have, it is only a small part of my fill project and will be done within the two weeks that I have. • Do you have the resources available to do this? • I have all the information and images and logo that I need from the company and I have the software on the computer that I need.
  • 21. Idea 6 • My sixth idea is for a poster, this is simpler to the leaflet with the way it is laid out. This poster would be A3 and would have the company name and logo at the top, it will then have an image of a product on the right hand side and a description of what it is and where it can be used in every day life. Underneath this there will be an image on the left hand side and a description like the first one. This will the continue for the length of the poster showing images and giving description of the six post popular products. At the bottom of the page there would be a ’contact us’ section with the website address and e-mail as well as the telephone number and address.
  • 22. Evaluation of idea • What do you like about the idea? • Something that I like about this idea is the way that the information is laid out clearly. I also think that using just the six most popular products that my client sells, this shows the audience what is most popular. • Does it match what the client wants? • My client has only asked me to create two specific things, therefore I have the freedom to create different ideas to show them and to create as well as what they have asked for. • Are you capable of delivering this? • I think that I am capable to delivering this as I have created posters as part of previous project and they have been successful. • Can you do this on time? • I think I will be able to create this in the small time frame I have because I already have the information I need to create this and I also already have the images that I need. • Do you have the resources available to do this? • I have all the resources I need for this poster, I have the information and images from the company and the software on my computer to actually create the poster.
  • 23. Idea 7 • My final idea is another poster, this one will be focused on what the products can create and what they are used for in real life. This poster will show the products in use, for example in a garden, this would be more focused on the product when it was in use. The prices of the products would not be advertised on the posters as they are more focused on the product itself rather than the value for money. This poster would be very colourful and have lots of images on it to grab the audiences attention. • This poster is aimed at people who will buy their products directly from this company rather than buying them from a garden centre, by showing them what the products can look like, I think will be more persuasive then showing them a price list of all the products. • The final product that I have decided to develop further us the poster, this poster is designed to show the audience what the products my client sells can become. This is similar to one of my leaflets however this poster will reach a wider audience and will not be as detailed but will be more eye catching and nicer to look at.
  • 24. Evaluation of idea • What do you like about the idea? • The thing I like most about this idea is the way that the poster will show the postnasal the different products have and how they can be used to create different things. I also like the way that it will stand out because of all the colours that will be used on it. • Does it match what the client wants? • My client has not been specific with what they want, they have not asked me to make a poster however I feel it will be a useful asset on top of what they have already asked me to make. • Are you capable of delivering this? • I think that I am capable of delivering this because I have experience of making posters for different course's and most of them have been successful in the past. • Can you do this on time? • I think that this will be achievable with the time frame that I have because I already have the iamges and information I need I just need to make this look nice in a poster form. • Do you have the resources available to do this? • I do have all the assets I need, all the information and images I need will be provided by the compant and the software I need is on the computer I am working on.
  • 25. Idea Evaluation Which of your ideas do you want to develop further? Explain why you think that is the right idea to take forward. The ideas that I would like to create are 1,2 and 5. I have decided to develop my first idea further as I think it it will be an effective way for my client to give clear list of products in print, not just on the internet. As well as this, my client has asked me to create a leaflet and I think this will be successful for one section of the people who buy from this company already, as well as other people like them. The second idea I have decided to develop further is the second leaflet, I think that this will be a good idea to develop because it targets a different audience and also because it gives customers a wide range of information about the different products as well as the delivery process and some information about the company. As my client has asked me to create a leaflet, I think that giving them two that are different from each other and both serve different purposes will be helpful. I have also decided to create my double sided business card, my client has asked me to create them a business card and I think this is the version that I like the most and they they will also like the most. I think that this card is more challenging for me also and that the end product will look the most professional.
  • 26. Development Use the next slides to document your idea development. This should include mood boards and other visual examples of work. It could include basic mock ups of your vision for the project using the work of others. If you are taking doing something outside of your ordinary skill set or way of working, you could include test work or practice work here too. There is room to develop a second idea here as well. This could give you a greater variety of options to give to your client. You will then assess your developed idea against the constraints of the project before producing a final treatment.
  • 27. Developed Idea 1 This is the first drat of my front cover of my leaflet, it shows the name of the company, logo and contact information. On the back of this leaflet there will be a full price list of everything that my client sells. On the inside on the first page there will be an introduction to the company, this will explain who they are and what they do. Then there will be information about how the deliveries work. On the second page on the inside there will be information about the 6 top selling products that my client sells, there will be an image of them in use, then a short description of what they are and what they can be used for. This page will have six products not four, this will show the top 6 products that my client sells.
  • 29. Developed Idea 1 Things that have changed - The price list has been shortened because not all of the products will fit onto the small part of the leaflet. Because of this I have listed the six top selling products that are sold my my client, as well as this I have taken different products from different sections of my clients website and put these on the list. This gives a varied list of products showing the different types of stuff that they sell, I have also stated that to find more information and the rest of the products to visit the website at the bottom of this page. - Something that also changed was that I did not use the top six product my client sells, I only displayed 4, this was because if I had used sex products the page would have looked uneven. There was also not enough room to talk about the products and explain what they would be used for in every day life which was one of my main aims with this product.
  • 30. Developed Idea 2 This is the first draft for the front cover of me second leaflet, it is very simpler to the first leaflet, it has the company name, logo and slogan in the middle and the contact information at the bottom of the page. One the back page of this leaflet there will be a full price list of all the products that my client sells. This is so all the products can be seen then the customer can see the different prices for different products. Through out the rest of the leaflet there is a full list of all of the products that my client sells. The products will be shown on the right hand side of the page then will have a description of them next to the image. Unlike the first leaflet, these will simply just be images of the product itself, not an image of it in use.
  • 32. Developed Idea 2 For this leaflet I have decided to change it to be a ‘gavel guide’, I have done this because I think that it was more relevant to the product than a leaflet. As well as this, because this is just a product list it gives the reader a clear title and they know what they are looking at when they pick up the booklet. Something else that I changed about this leaflet is that instead of having a description of the product I have listed what they are used for. I have done this because there was not enough space to give a good sized image and a description that made sense, because of this I have taken the uses of each product and listed them instead.
  • 35. Developed Idea 3 Something that I have changed on the business card is the front, I have changed the way this has been laid out as I think that after playing around with the original idea in Photoshop this looks better overall. When I created the original idea in Photoshop it looked very cramped, however I am still playing around with different ideas. Something that I think can be improved is the lack of information on the front side if the card, although it looked cramp on Photoshop I think that there is not enough information on this draft. I think that there should be a description of what the company dose. As well as this, I am still undecided about whether I will keep the white background on the logo on the back of the card and remove it. I still need to get a better quality logo from my client.
  • 36. Assessment of final ideas Suitable for audience? I think that my products are suitable for the my different audiences and they all target different people, the two different leaflets target two different sections of my audience. Suitability for client? The products I plan to make are suitable for my client, my client asked for a business card and a leaflet. However I felt that making the two different types of leaflets fit the different audience and gave me more to make in the time that I have. Appeal of the work: One thing that I think is appealing about my ideas is that they are all very clear, they show the audience what they need to know and also gives them other extra information. Timescales for production: I have two weeks to create these three products which I think is very possible, I already have the different resources that I need for the products I am making. Costs: There is no cost to these different products apart from the printing costs at the end of the project when everything is finished and ready to be made. Personnel: I do not need any personnel to help me with this project, I have all the images and information that I need already therefore I will not need any help from other people.
  • 37. Assessment of final ideas Legal and ethical issues: Firstly as I am not using any models in any of my images, I do not need to get written consent from anyone. All the images I am using are from the UK gravel website and therefore they have the copy right on these images, as well as this, any other images that I use will be taken by myself. Because college have a bought a Photoshop licence the fonts that are on Photoshop are free to use and because I am using one from there and I have not downloaded it myself I am able to use it.
  • 38. Research What is their design/photography/marketing/promotional/advertising work like? They currently only have their website and eBay page as ways of promotional material, they do not have any adverts or leaflets ect. They have just recently had a new website mad which looks more modern and more organised. What wider market is your client part of? Undertake research in to that market. This could be in the form of sales figures, audience figures, turnover, job roles, customer base, market share, rules, regulations and codes of practice.
  • 39. Competition/Market research: Who is in competition with your client? Specific competitors ( four top competitors with my client) https://www.stones4homes.co.uk - A smaller company that are in direct competition with my company, located within the same region – Selby https://www.stonewarehouse.co.uk - in direct competitors, similar style and information – deliver ect. Gravel Master - https://www.gravelmaster.co.uk - Online business, http://decorativeaggregates.com - These are all companys that my client see’s as threats to their buisness, these all sell the same products and are all prometally online baced. Larger companys Online Gravel - http://www.onlinegravel.co.uk - most of UK Gravels customs buy online, through their website or eBay page. Wickes - http://www.wickes.co.uk - these are a big nation wide store that also have shops that people can buy from, it is not just an online business. They also have more money to spend on big television adverts, however they sell lots of different things from paint to fences. Sand and Gravel Direct - https://www.sandandgraveldirect.co.uk - Also similar to UK gravel as all products are sold online. There are about 300 businesses of varying sizes in the UK aggregates industry, ranging from very small to very large.- The top five movers, Tarmac, Hanson, Aggregate Industries, Cemex and Lafarge, account for 60% of the aggregates market, including primary aggregates and recycled materials, 75% of ready-mix concrete and some asphalt. Lafarge and Anglo American (Tarmac) have announced plans to merge their UK construction materials businesses, forming a company that would have more than a 30% share of the aggregates, asphalt and cement market. - http://www.aggbusiness.com/sections/market-reports/features/big-regional-differences-in-aggregates-market/
  • 40. Aggregates The wider industry that UK Gravel comes under is ‘aggregates’ this isa wide ragnge of different particular material including gravel, sand, stone and slag. Aggregates are the most mined materials in the world. Sales and production figures http://www.aggbusiness.com/sections/market-reports/features/big-regional-differences-in- aggregates-market/ The Mineral Products Association (MPA) is the trade association for the aggregates, asphalt, cement, concrete, lime, mortar and silica sand industries.MPA figures show that each year the industry supplies more than £5 billion (€6.1 billion) of materials to the £120 billion (€146 billion) construction sector and others. https://www.designingbuildings.co.uk/wiki/Global_construction_aggregates_market_revenue_to_2 021 According to analysis results, the global construction aggregates market is estimated to reach a value of US$ 329.3 Billion by 2015 end https://www.retail-week.com/sectors/home-and-diy/wickes-full-year-sales-and-profits-rise-as-it- gains-market-share/7005371.article Profits increased 11.7% to £87m Sales up 8% while like-for-likes increased 5.3% Online investment made including launch of 60-minute click-and-collect
  • 41. Style and Promotional material When I first spoke to my client they said they didn't think they really had a style as the only thing they had made was a website and they has got someone else to make that. After looking at the website with them we discussed different styles and they would now class their style and clean, clear and professional. We also talked about what they would like to achieve from the products that I was making and they said that they would like my to keep with the colour scheme of green gray and white, I like this colour scheme I think that it looks clear and the colours go well together. They also asked that I would make sure the information was clear and that it was not cramp together, they like the way that on the website everything has its own space. • 42. Audience/Customer research: Who is the audience or customer that your client is trying to reach? Perhaps they have already told you. Perhaps you should ask. You could also do further research in to the type of audience or customer you are hoping to appeal to. I have spoken to my client about their target audience and they said that they have several different groups of people that buy from them them a lot. Businesses, families and retired people, this is a very wide group of target audience, due to this I have narrowed the target audience to two different groups, businesses and families. I have chosen to do this because these are the two groups that my cleint want to try and reach out to. Families This group is focused of people who are moving house or have small children and want to sort their gardens out. Age 27-37 Demographic – ABC Gender – both, this is usually a joint decision Businesses Garden Centers + Nursery's More likely to buy in bulk Know about the different products Would be buying to resell the different products in smaller packages.

  • 45. Delivery We deliver using a kerbside tail lift vehicle, we do not deliver using HI AB cranes. The area where the pallet will be offloaded needs to be a hard standing level surface. Examples of these include tarmac, concrete and block paving. The manual operated pallet trucks cannot operate on soft or loose grounds. Examples of these include grass and gravel. These examples are unsuitable and the pallet will only be left Kerbside if the driver seems it safe to do so on the day. The road where the delivery address is located needs to be suitable for access for the delivery vehicle. This also includes the roads leading up to the property. An 18 Tonne vehicle is approximately the same size as a dustbin lorry. The delivery cannot be made onto sloping grounds. The pallets will not be able to be removed using the tail lift as it will not be able to lay flat on the ground. UK Landscaping & Building aims to deliver all purchases within 2 – 3 working days of the receipt of your order. For next day deliveries, orders needs to be placed before 13:00 Monday to Thursday. Any order placed before 13:00 on Friday will be delivered the following Monday. This does not apply to Bank Holidays when the delivery will be made the following Tuesday.
  • 46. Treatment: The treatment evokes how an audience will experience what you are making. Write in the active-voice in present tense. Tell the reader what they will see. Describe the content of your project. Write vibrantly, so the reader gets excited about your work. They should be able to visualise the finished pieces. You could also supplement this with some mood boards or mock ups. Be specific—don’t use words like may, might or possibly.
  • 47. Treatment The first product I am going to be making you is a leaflet, this will be used to show the public just what you sell and how they can use it in their own life's. This booklet will be A5 and will be folded like a book, it will be one sheet of paper therefore creating 4 pages full of useful information for your customers. On the front there will be your logo and contact information as well as the name of you business and logo at the top so everyone knows where to go to buy the products. When you open the booklet on the left hand side page there will be a welcome section, all about your company and what you do, this introduces the company to the company. This will take but half the page, on the bottom half there will be information about the way that you deliver so that there is no confusion from the customer, this will be a short section so that the reader dose not have lots of text to read. On the right hand page there will be your four top selling products, this will show the customer the products they are most likely to be buying. The first product is Play Bark Chipping, there will be an image of the product on the left hand side of the page and a short description next to it, importantly explaining how the product can be used in their life. This will then be repeated for the next three product, Mushroom compost, Pine play bark and Plum slate. However the image will be on alternative sides to give the page more space and to make it look like there is less text. When you turn over on to the back of the leaflet you will find a price list, now, this will not show all of your products because you sell so many they just wont all fit! However I have chosen a wide range of products from each different set of product, creating a varied and well catering price list for all different customers to brose. As well as this the website link will be at the bottom of the page saying ‘ for more products visit our website’ this give the customer a reason the visit the website and that will give them even more reason to by your products. The second product I will be creating for you is a business card, this wil be 2.5 by 3 inches in size, perfect to fit in a wollet or purse. This holds all the information a customer could need about your company and what you sell, the card will be double sided to create space and style. On the front side there will be your company name and all your contact information
  • 48. Treatment there will be your company name and all your contact information so that anyone who you give your card to knows exactly where to find you. Your contact information includes your sales email, your telephone number and the link to your website. As well as this on the front page there will be a short description of who you are and what you do, like the introduction on the leaflet this section introduces you to the customer. On the other side of the card there well be 6 images of different product that you sell, these images will not be up to full opacity, with these images in the background, your company logo will then take center stage. Your logo will be up to full opacity making it stand out against the other images, this also makes you logo recognizable and connects to to the business for everyone who has your business card. Third and finally, the last product I will be creating for you is another leaflet, however this time it will be in the style of a ‘gravel guide’, this guide is aimed more at people who are already buying from you. The front cover will be similar to the previous leaflet front cover, with you company name, logo and contact information, this will also say ‘Gravel Guide’ on the front so that everyone knows what it is. When you open the guide you will be faced with four different gravels, there will be images of them down the left hand side of the page, these images are the same as the ones from your website for the different gravels to limit confusion. On the right hand side of the page there will be the name of the specific gravel as well as what their main uses are as they are listed on your website, this will be continued throughout the leaflet on every page apart from the back. There will be four different gravels on each page, meaning not every gravel will be present on the guide, but like the previous leaflet there will be the link to your website at the bottom of every page. This creates a clear guide to which gravel dose what and what it looks like, I have kept the amount of gravel on a page to four as it means that pages look more spacious and there is a decent sized image. On the final page on the back of the guide there will be a full price list of all the different gravels you sell even the ones that are not featured through the rest of the guide.
