Development of Reliability Work Diagrams for a SAGD Operating Plant, as well as Supervising the Failure
Mode Analysis – FMA for Critical Equipment, for supporting the implementation of a Downtime
Reporting program.
Methanex Inc.
Definition of the Asset Taxonomy for a Methanol Plant aligned with Standard ISO 14225. The process
and methodology for delivering the work includes analysis of Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and
Instrumentation Diagram and Control Narrative as well as the preparation of data loading files for
Maximo EAM.
EP PETROECUADOR
Consulting Service for the standardization and improvement of the spare parts catalog, related to
information description, physical inventory and valuation of the materials in the warehouses of the EP
Petroecuador. Data gathering, physical verification and improvement of the code descriptions of items
in the material warehouses of EP PETROECUADOR.
ATCO-I-TEK
Establish the Holistic Asset Management Consulting practice for Atco I-Tek, following accepted best
practices and aligned with Asset Management System as established in the PAS-55 and the ISO-55000
Standards.
PETROAMAZONAS EP
Responsible for the definition of the Maintenance Strategy based on the Reliability Centered
Maintenance methodology, for the equipment in the plants and stations of the Catatumbo-Orinoco
Superintendence of Ecopetrol SA; including Asset registry, equipment standard jobs, spares parts
cataloguing, bill of materials and Maintenance Strategy setup in the EAM System Ellipse”.
Responsible for the Data gathering, physical verification and improvement of the code descriptions of
items in the material warehouses of Petroamazonas EP, including the taxonomy definition and
taxonomy manual.
Development of a business case for an Enterprise Asset Management system in support of Work
Management and Reliability Engineering practices, and the development of a 3-year Roadmap for
reaching increased maturity levels in all areas of Maintenance and Reliability in preparation for steep
growth in production.
OLEODUCTO DE LOS LLANOS ORIENTALES – ODL
Asset Registry and Maintenance Strategy definition for the equipment of expansion project in the
operational infrastructure, including the Maintenance Strategy setup in the ERP-SAP.
CANADIAN NATURAL RESOURCES – CNRL
The Bitumen Production Plant at Horizon Project - CNRL, required the selection and implementation of a
Reliability Modelling Software Tool able to perform scenario analysis using Montecarlo Simulation.
Activities performed included: Software Selection, Implementation and Configuration according to Client
needs. Downtime data analysis and design of the Reliability Models for the Bitumen Production, Ore
Preparation, Extraction and Froth Treatment Plants.
2. The Bitumen Production Plant at Horizon Project - CNRL, required the facilitation of several activities to
review and update the Preventative Maintenance Strategy, as part of the continuous improvement
process lead by the Reliability Engineering team. Activities performed included: Failure Mode and
Effect Analysis – FMEA; PM Setup in JD Edwards – E1
CEPCOLSA
The Colombian Entity from the Spanish Petroleum Company – CEPCOLSA, was in the process of
implementing SAP and required the definition and codification of the good and services catalogue
according to the UNSPSC standard from United Nations.
ECOPETROL
The Project Direction Unit at the Colombian Petroleum Company – ECOPETROL, was in the process of
improving the Project Management Activities to ensure effectiveness on the implementation of the
Capital Project´s Portfolio. The analysis of the Project Management Work Flows and the Data Mapping
was performed to define a proposal for the optimization of the information flows.
CANADIAL NATURAL RESOURCES – CNRL
The Upgrading Plant at Horizon Project - CNRL, required the facilitation of RCM Studies to define the
Maintenance Strategy, as part of the Operational Readiness activities. Team of 2 Facilitators and 4
Specialists.
CANADIAL NATURAL RESOURCES – CNRL
The Horizon Project at CNRL requires defining the Maintenance Strategy for the different Business Units,
as part of the Operational Readiness activities. A Reliability Centered Maintenance Process is required
to ensure consistency on the Maintenance Approach for the Horizon´s Operative Infrastructure.
ECOPETROL
The Colombian Petroleum Company – ECOPETROL, was in the process to improve the Supply and
Procurement Processes. As part of this initiative it was necessary to redesign the Good & Services
Catalogue to make it compliant with international standards and to provide it with e-commerce
capabilities.

and Pipelines.
Corporate System for Managing Maintenance, Materials and Accounts Payable. One of the biggest IT
Projects in ECOPETROL’s history, 15 installations located all over the country encompassing a variety of
businesses (i.e., refinery, exploration, production, transportation, Oil Industry R&D Centre). Cost:
US$14 m, Team staff: 42 people.
SINDEMAN Pipeline District Maintenance Information System with broad geographic coverage for 150
Maintenance Department users.
ECOPETROL’s National Pipeline Network Scheduler —PROPOLID
Scheduling System for, based on linear programming, developed in Turbo-Pascal for microcomputer
environment. Employee Recognition Aware from Pipeline District.
