1. SCRIPT- IE TALENT SHOW 2014
LAKSHAY: Good evening everyone! Welcome to the first ever IE Talent show! My name is
Lakshay Suri and I will be your Master of Ceremony this evening, and joining me is my friend
Ria Jethi. Thanks audience for joining us, we have a wonderful show for you guys tonight. Can
we have a big round of applause! Can we see some excitement ..?

RIA:
So before beginning the program ! Can any one of you tell me what the IE Talent Show is all
about? Any random guesses??
Wow! Thats awesome- IE Talent show has been organised because of the fact “WE”(together )
all at IE are a pool full of talent. So glad you could make it out here tonight! So what you're
about to see is a show that platforms the cultures and customs of the world, both old and new.
Music, dancing, and more!
LAKSHAY: Very true! We have a talent pool ranging from the amazing professors , multi
talented students and a quite cooperative staff who are going to sweep us off our feet and
surprise us all with their forte.
Moving forward , let us introduce you all to the fantastic Jury that we have with us today.
Jury Board:
RIA:
Javier Galue — Student of Executive Master in Corporate Communication at IE, who has a
professional working experience of over 20 years. We are honored to have you with us today,
Javier!
LAKSHAY: Fernando Arenas—Professor of Administrative Economic Law and Law of
Administrative Procedures for LLM programs at IE. He is very fond of theatre, music, opera
and musicals.. here and around the world.
RIA:
Andra Cioara —Coordinator for Europa&CIS, International Development Department at IE, a
Result-driven team player, with an international and multicultural experience in Marketing and
Sales.
LAKSHAY: Maite Inglés —IMBA professor of emotional management, Leadership, and
Communication for people's growth.
She is a Vocational actress who believes that life is mind and spirit.
2. RIA:
Cynthia Fernández —Director of Publishing at IE Business School & IE University. A theatre
amateur and an art and humanities lover, she has 17 years of experience in the areas of
Corporate Communications and Marketing.
LAKSHAY: Imma Puig-Simon —Adjunct Professor of Negotiation at IE.
A political scientist with more than 20 years of professional experience with extensive
knowledge of both public and private sectors.
We extend a very warm welcome to the Jury members.Heartfelt Thanks.

LAKSHAY: Without wasting much of your time, Wishing each of the performer good Luck!!
Let us begin our program! Dance is my passion and I have been longing to see Bachata , Salsa
and tango all in one.
Without much ado, I would like to call upon stage our very first performers, Leo Waterman
and Sarah Magnell. Can we have a big round of applause for Sarah and Leo! Thank you!
RIA:
Silence for 30 seconds. Omg for 30 seconds we kept quiet. This actually tells how intensive
was the performance. Amazing Leo and Sarah. Hats off!
LAKSHAY: Next up we have a performance by Dario Gurrero who will be singing „La Cima
Del Cielo‟ by Ricardo Montaner. A huge round of applause for our talented friend Dario!
RIA: Thank you Dario for this delightful performance.
Next up is Orchestra Allegro which will play The Mission by Ennio Morricone
Orchestra Allegro will perform one of the pieces from its repertoire. The chosen pieces
'Gabriel's Oboe' from the Soundtrack from The Mission by Ennio Morricone.
What makes Orchestra Allegro unique is their welcoming character that embraces people from
different ages, levels and backgrounds, their continuous improvement philosophy, where all
musicians keep evolving even if they don't follow the professional path.
LAKSHAY: And the band consists of

Can we have a huge round of applause for Daura and her team from Orchestra Allegro!!
RIA:
Words fail to describe the performance! Thank you Orchestra Allegro and many thanks to
Daura and team for such an amazing performance. Trust us, the power of any school lies in its
Alumni too. Daura is one of those alumni.
Lets move on to the next performance of the day,We have with us today
Jieling Zhang Zhang - student of IMBA 2014 presenting before us "La Valse d'Amelie" by
Yann Tiersen.
LAKSHAY: Oh my god , such incredible talent we have at IE. Trust me it is getting heated in
here! So we have a mix of students and faculty performing on stage. Next is a Chinese opera
music performance by an IE Faculty. May I invite on stage Zhijian Cui with a round of
applause.
RIA: Thank you Zhijian! The performance was amazing indeed! Most of us are too far away
from our homes and there are times when we feel nostalgic.
Up next is a performance by Ha Tran Thi Noggin .She will be singing a Vietnamese song
which entails feelings of nostalgia. Please welcome on stage Ha Tran!! A warm round of
applause for Ha
LAKSHAY: Awesome Awesome Awesome!! Need I say anything else.?? Thanks for the
wonderful performance Ha!
Moving further, we have the next performance in line that is of a guy who firmly believes his
love for music has no cultural restrictions. Not only this, at the age of 15 years he started
successful business playing piano at various events, travelled across 65 countries and 6
continents. Without further ado, I would hereby invite upon stage, Brian Perley who is a
student of IE.
RIA:
What a stupendofantablous performance it was. Thank you Brian!
4. Next, We have with us today Anujan Krishnamoorthy. He would be playing Indian classical
violin. All the classical music lovers and obviously Indian people out here!
Round of applause for Anujan! Can we have you on stage Anujan!
LAKSHAY: Thank you Anujan! It was overwhelming to see an Indian perform!
I am an Indian and I really miss my Indian land sometimes! #justsaying
Moving forward, now we have a performance by Onnida Aditapsatit who will be singing “If I
ain‟t got you”. May we have Onnida on stage .
RIA:
Stage has been set on fire, Isn‟t it guys? Back to back outstanding performances what else do
we need? I wish we have IE Talent show been organised every quarterly!
LAKSHAY: Campus Life Team ~Are you listening ? Talent Show every quarter ....Can we
hear three cheers from the CAMPUS LIFE TEAM—GIEDRE,MICAEL and the entire campus
life team?
RIA:
Up next is a performance by Eric Kohlmann-Kupper, former physicist, into entrepreneurship
and venture capital and now part of the Masters In Finance course. Can we all give a huge
round of applause for Eric.
After the performance: Wow what a performance it was! Splendid!
LAKSHAY: Up next we have Maria Teresa Freitas who will be performing “Right to be
Wrong by Joss Stone”. Can we have Maria on stage please!
Wow! Splendid Awesome Fantastic is all I have to say.
RIA: We now have with us, Nuria Martin, a staff member at IE Business School.
She will be presenting “"I wanna hold your hand" by The Beatles”. Can we have Nuria on stage
.

LAKSHAY: Wow ! what a performance it was! Speechless I am ..Did you guys enjoy too?
Great !!
Last but definitely not the least, we have the band CONDE DUQUE JAZZ BAND.
I am going to read out what they have to say:
5. We didn't know each other before starting to play music. More than a band of friends it is a
musical friendship. We could get along with each other without even speaking, without
knowing almost nothing about the other members life outside the music study room.
This amazing band has Axel Lubel, a student of IE who is accompanied by Santiago Arribas ,
Paolo Romeo ,Ivan Zacarias.
RIA:
Fantastic performance it was! Spell bound and speechless! Thank you Conde Duque Jazz Band.
That marks the end of the performances which would be judged by Jury!
My heart is racing because now its time for the results!
LAKSHAY:
This time is seriously too tough to handle! Jury members are you ready with the results or do
you need some time for the compilation?

RIA: Who all are new intakes to IE? I mean-Who all have joined IE this September or would
be joining in October?
LAKSHAY:
Do you want to share something- may be How do you feel about IE ? or may be partying
experience at Kapitol for that matter ,or Gabana etc etc. Alright, so my dear audience, till the
time judges come out with the results, we have some sumptuous tapas waiting for you, I am
sure you all were waiting for this announcement.
RIA: We just thought of something right now-
Anyone would like to show us your talent ..and let me tell you any talent be it dance or singing
because my mind shuts after dance and music !Whatever you think can be called as a talent
.Raise your hands and just rock on!!
Do we have anyone amongst us to perform on stage! Common guys join us and make the event
bigger!

Twisters .For those who are not aware ~
We give you one statement and you have to speak the same for 5 times and the one who gets it
right ;we have something for you.

7. The IE Faculty decided to surprise us all, so before we mark the end of the talent show, before
we get back to the usual daily routine of school, before we move ahead in our lives !!

RIA: Thank you IE Faculty band ! You all were simply amazing! Hats off to the amazingly
talented Faculty that we have.

At the end: This marks the end of our first ever , first edition of IE Talent Show 2014.
Jury Thanks—Thank you Jury for taking your time out and patiently watching each and every
performance. It is really tough to decide one when you see each and every one performed so
brilliantly. Thanks again.

Audience Thanks—It was amazing seeing you guys cheering for the performers,being so
patient.Thank you for those loudest of the cheers in between the show. Thank you for being
such a nice audience. It was such a joy to host for you guys! We hope you have a wonderful
night and a safe drive home.
LAKSHAY:
Campus Life Team— Last but not the least I would like to thank Micaela & Giedre and the
entire Campus Life Team for doing each and every bit for making this happen. It is because of
you we have this first ever IE Talent Show !Thanks a ton.
