A new medical invention that harnesses the power of smart phone

patients, according to researchers from Switzerland.
The standalone tool - developed jointly by the laboratories of
embedded systems and telecommunications circuits at the Ecole
Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) - not only automatically
identify heart rhythm abnormalities, but also alerts doctors in seconds

The monitor, small and lightweight, has four non-invasive sensors
attached electrodes to the skin and connected to a radio module and a
computer chip that clips to the belt of the patient.
