14. CPEC importance to China
• Chinese industries are facing problem to
compete in global market due to high
transportation cost and delivery time.
• It would decrease the travel distance and
cost greatly from China to Gulf.
• Even if China uses CPEC for 50% of its oil
supplies then it will save $6 million every
day.
• Independent path from USA and India’s
interference.
• New business market in another country.
15. CPEC importance to Pakistan
• Strategic and economic trade routes
• Development of infrastructure
• Connect all the provinces
• Development of FATA, KPK and Baluchistan
• Job opportunities
• Equalization among all provinces
• Import and export of Pakistan will increase
• The Power capacity will increase
• Gwadar Port will be upgraded
• Roads, Railways, Aviation and Data Transfer will
be upgraded.
16.
17.
18. Disadvantages of CPEC
• FTA leads to threat for local
markets and local manufactures
• Disturbance of local industries
• Difficult to compete Chine’s product in
market
• Increase the ratio of unemployment
• Dependence on China
19. India towards CPEC
• India has continuously opposed the project since it
passes through the Pakistan-occupied Kashmiri
territory of Gilgit-Baltistan – a claim opposed by
Pakistan.
• India opposes CPEC to maintain its hegemony in South
Asia.
• India wants to limit Pakistan’s economic development
options.
• It also desires to publicize its false claim over Azad
Jammu & Kashmir.
• India wants to undermine China’s economic
advancement.
20. USA and CPEC
The USA is also adopted double standards. As
India is backed by the USA to contain China in
the region. It is very much interesting that many
US companies willing to participate in China
Pakistan Economic Corridor but these
companies face restraints by US Government.
The US will never support such activity which
will give strength to China. The US wants to
maintain financial instability in Pakistan.
21. Is Iran agree with CPEC?
It is very unfortunate that our friendly brother Iran
hiddenly oppose CPEC. Actually Iran has no conflict
over CPEC with Pakistan. It’s India who instigates
Iran against Pakistan. As India have heavy interest in
Iran and it is constructing Chahbahar port. It is a
good step that someone put their share in someone
country progress but it should not be used to use
against other countries. CPEC is a great Project
which is supported by 100 plus countries and it is
an open project for every country so fastens your
seat belts and don’t miss the train.
22. CPEC and UAE
UAE policy about Pakistan-China economic
corridor is not clear. It creates so many doubts
about UAE. The UAE main concern about CPEC is
that if Gwadar becomes duty-free port then it
will affect the UAE ports. They also have fears
that if Gwadar becomes international deep sea
port then it will become the hub of international
sea trade. To secure their own ports and trade
they hiddenly oppose CPEC.
