ASAM FENOLAT
 Asam fenolat merupakan jenis metabolit sekunder yang
banyak ditemukan dalam berbagai jenis tumbuhan.
 Asam fenolat merupakan jenis senyawa aromatik yang
termasuk kedalam kelas yang mengandung zat cincin fenolat
dan fungsi asam karbosilat organik (kerangka C6-C1).
LIGNIN
 Lignin adalah polimer fenol yang terdapat dalam dinding sel
tumbuhan.
 Lignin merupakan komponen bahan organik yang utama
dalam pembentukan asam fenolat.

Tanpa Hidrolisis Hidrolisis Basa Hidrolisis Asam
Bila dioksidasi dengan nitrobenzene, lignin menghasilkan 3 aldehida fenol
sederhana yang ada kaitannya dengan asam fenolat tumbuhan umum. Ketiga
senyawa itu adalah
• Asam p-Hidroksi Benzoate
• Asam Vanilat
• Asam Siringat
