1. LINE is the basic element of art. It is the foundation,
and arguably the most important element of art.
2. SHAPE is a two-dimensional object with length and
width but nod depth.
3. COLOR can set the mood and feel of a painting.
Hue-the colors themselves
Value-how light or dark a color is
Chroma-the brightness or dullness of a color
Temperature- colors can be warm or cool

4. VALUE is the degree or darkness in colors. Lighter
values are referred to as tints. Darker values are
referred to as shades.
5. TEXTURE is what we see when we look at an
object. It includes things like smoothness or
roughness on the surface of an object.
6. FORM is a three-dimensional object that has
length and width as well as depth.
7. SPACE is the area or volume around and between
things.

1. BALANCE is the comfortable arrangement of
things in art. Elements of design are arranged
symmetrically or asymmetrically to create the
impression of equality in weight or importance.
