1. IN WHAT WAYS DOES YOUR
MEDIA PRODUCT USE,
DEVELOP OR CHALLENGE
FORMS AND CONVENTIONS OF
A REAL MEDIA PRODUCT.
2. WAYS IN WHICH M OPENING SEQUENCE
CONFORMS….
For example in my opening
sequence there are titles
crediting people or companies
that have helped with the films.
I used my film and an example
from Skyfall, another action
film, with a similar plot where
the protagonist is forced to
disappear out of the city.
In the text of both of the text it
show credit to a company or
an individual for their
contribution to the film.
3. THE SOUNDTRACK
The sound track to the opening scene of my film and
The dark knight are similar as they are mellow deep
Songs. For example my sound track, made on Filmstro
Creates tension and suspense as the two boys approach
the drug deal.
4. My opening sequence shares conventions with real crime drama film, for
example there is a gun shot in my opening sequence. For example another
crime film film, adulthood, has a gun shot in it. This is a common
convention of crime films because it conveys conflict within the film, also a
gunshot intrigues an audience because it it not something that they would
see everyday.
SOCIAL GROUPS
5. SEXUALITY
My opening sequence develops the stereotype of protagonists in
crime action films being heterosexual.
This maybe be because
Stereotypically homosexuals, or other
Sexes are less accepted in a working
class environment. This therefore makes
my film more realistic.
6. Ways in which my opening sequence has
challenged a stereotypical crime film is because
my the social class of my protagonist is middle/
upper class rather then a stereotypical working
class protagonist who are usually the
protagonists in crime films.
HOWEVER….
7. Real crime films use real third
Party studio companies, where as
In my opening sequence I created
my own film company.
MY OPENING SEQUENCE ALSO
CHALLENGES REAL FILMS BECAUSE…
This makes my film challenge real life
films because they use real film
companies to help them fund their
films and help create them; Whereas
my film I have created my own film
studio company and have had no
funding or help from them.
