6. Idea-one:what
• The school is holding a once and a lifetime opportunity a week long trip to England specifically to London
and the trip is being funded by the UK government, but the plane crashes and a lot of the students drown
which included her best friend Leanne. But some survive including Tazmin and they end up swim onto
tropical island and they try to survive on this island as try to go into the jungle however in jungle there are
obstacles throughout the jungle, some deadly some gave minor injuries nothing fatal though. Furthermore
most people did of course die for the obstacles and had minor injuries yet they still died due to loss of blood
and the wounds not being treated properly with the spread of the infection. But also some people had died
due to there were people (the islanders) who lived on the island and they had to fight off them because to
the people that lived on this island was sacred to them they didn’t like foreign people invading their land but
resulted to a lot them dying , but however the group of high school students managed to kill off the
islanders. Sadly the only survivors were Tazmin and Dion, nevertheless they are on their way to find shelter
and they finally got there. Dion and Tazmin plead with the king to let live with him and the king complied. In
discovery the king gets knowledge that Tazmin and Dion with their classmates had killed off his islanders and
he was not pleased and was filled with rage and decided he wanted to kill Dion and Tazmin, then Tazmin and
Dion decide to run off/escape and they are running through the jungle. The king of tribe makes impulsive
decision to start a fire around the jungle to catch out Tazmin and Dion and Taz and Dion ended at the front
of the island where they originally swam to for their survival and the king was there waiting for them and
now it was 2 against 1, they start fighting and T+D were winning for a while until the king stabbed Dion with
spear in shoulder and Dion was screaming pain and Taz tries to fight the king by herself and she wasn’t
successful. The king had her in choke hold wanting to suffocate herself but then Dion pulls out the spear
stabs the king through his chest and the spears piercers through his body poking out in the other side and
the king dies immediately and by luck a helicopter was coming to the island as there was a warning about a
fire on a island and Tazmin and Dion got saved.

damaged town to find each other again

The girl that has been kidnapped is called Luna

What A girl named Luna a very popular social media star has been kidnapped and her kidnapper uploads very
short videos on the app TikTok as Luna in the videos cries for help and as time goes on, the account and
her videos become popular they would achieve over millions of views and likes , people around the
world including the police try seek clues in the videos to save Luna but they couldn’t get much out of
the videos. Then a group teenagers that are all 17 years old find an ultimate clue that gives the location
of where Luna has been capture and the group of teenagers go on journey without telling anyone to go
and find Luna.
Why Because they used to be friends with her and they had a massive fight the night she got kidnapped and
they feel as though they owe it to her to find and successfully they did.

How In one of the videos that Luna has uploaded, Jake discovers something in the background reminded of
an area where the group of teenagers including Luna used to play at when they were children and they
came to the realisation she was being kept an abounded factory further down in Virginia.

The colour scheme in this game is very neutral, there is a lot of
brown, dark green, black, a faded yellow and more. The game set up
is very similar Pseudo 3D games but except with Don’t Starve the
camera angle/viewing point is more upwards instead of in the
middle, so you’re looking down at your character. With the lightning
in the game, when its daytime it’s not very bright, the game shows
what time of day it is by a little clock of colours referring to what
time of day it is, as it daytime, evening and night time and in the
middle it’ll say how many days has it been.
Don’t Starve Gameplay Pseudo 3D games
The gameplay I chose that is similar to my game
concept is “Don’t Starve”, this is a survival game that
have to survive the night without dying out of
hunger. You have to pick up resources around such a
pickaxe and you need to have a certain amount of
them build things such:
- building a fire
- make a trap
- Build a science machine
- Grass suit
- And most IMPORTANTLY make a farm

The interesting things about this movie is that fact this is based on a real
life experience. The person who actually had this happen to him is called
Yossi Ghinsberg, he wrote a book called “Jungle” that tells his experience
living in those conditions. I think this movie is a great inspiration of what I
would my movie to out like, in the sense of being left on island/jungle
having to fend for yourself ideas is very similar to my concept of my
project. What I like about this movie is that there are some gory explicit
scenes in there showing the reality being lost in the jungle. I think what is
eye catching about this movie is that man character is being played by a
very famous actor.
What I also really like about this jungle is the movie on the left hand side
is very nice and interesting, there isn’t too much going. The colour
scheme isn’t vast its literally based on three colours which I like.

With this movie, it sparks a different idea for my projects, like with the
movie poster I really the visuals in this movie poster and it make me think
about when I make my own it makes think about doing that not
traditionally like a typical adventure movie poster. As with adventure poster
there is a lot of green brown and etc when I look at this poster and movie it
makes think of doing a very different concept with making an adventure
project. With my project I could do a very similar concept to this as it could
be very dark as similar to Dark Tower and not go the typical adventure film
root with having more of a daker colour scheme.

Gone home the game is a great example of what I want my video
game to look angle wise. In my game I want the character have the
same POV of this game so the audience playing the game can
actually feel like they are the character, and with this game the
animations are very realistic as I do like about his game and I would
want in my game. This game is more of investigating game, as you
have to walk around the house find put things about family
members and secrets which is a feature in my game that I wouldn’t
want as I am trying to make and adventure game this isn’t really
would I want in my game. I really like the font the game play photo it
gives kind of thriller/horror aura to it which I think it makes it
interesting. What I also find intriguing about this game is that in the
trailer it talks about the character sister is not at home but has note
stuck on the door telling to not go through her stuff which makes it
very appealing to but because it makes the audience question what
happens if the character does go through her stuff.

34. THEREASONING
LOGO: In my opinion I think the outcome of the logo went really well as my logo is very evidently simplistic as I wanted it to
be. I didn’t want my logo to have too much, I wanted it straight forward as with famous logos such as MC Donald’s, KFC and
etc. They have very simple logos and I knew I wanted to do the same thing and I think I achieved that. With the log it
definitely fitted with most the colour scheme that I had planned in the style sheet to use when planning the colours for the
adventure project.

• Making the characterson photoshopwas surprisinglyenjoyable, in general I’m not that much of gamer so I never reallyhad massive
interest to making videos game when doing media but making the characterswent really I ad alreadyhad visions of what I wanted my
characters so it was really to drawing especiallyusing the pencil tool in blocks was really easy. I am proud of how my characters turned
out, I think it is very fitting to how I wanted my game to be like. But I do have to add that I did make a change to my characterswhich
originally whenI made all the charactersLeanne was actually Tazminand vice versa. So after thinkingfor while I decided to change
my characters. Tazmin in my video game is a dark skinned teenager and my reason for that was in media today dark skinned black
women get a little to none representationwhen it comes to being a main character. I just thought with the fact that the plot of my
project, the main characters is female who is leader, the peacemakerand is 1 out of 2 survivors on the island. I think that it was
important forme to show some representationof black community so that young black teenage girl someone that they can relate to.

36. Menuscreen
Honestly with my gameplay, I always planned my game to be quite simple since I’m not
amazing animating, I wasn’t expected myself to go out beyond and that is what did with my
menu screen.
Ithink for a menu screen it isn’t that terrible but I do think an
improvement I could’ve done is adding the logo I made or the
tagline from my logo development. But the menu screen
correlates with the style sheet I had planned in my pre
production. I personally think the colours go well together
and the font suits this type of game.

• With my lover to sign I think he was the most disappointing thing I had may in this production , as I've said before I
haven't had any experience make doing animation and throughout this production I struggled with animating the most
because I am not go to drawing but it was easy to make the characters but it was hard to make the backgrounds and the
way I wanted to make my game from the persons characters point of view it wasn't working so while I was making the
game I decided to change it to where you can see the player can see the character you chosen to play the game. My level
design is really sure in the video which is sad and disappointing because I didn't know really what I could do to make him
more impactful so definitely I think with animation and making my level designs was my weakness in this production.
39. WEAKNESSES
• Logo- the red in my logo wasn’t fitting with colour scheme I had planned out Where is the red I should have added words to
my style she or in my reproduction at some point but I forgot that red is such a basic generic need of colour when you're
making an adventure film.
• Level design- obviously with my level design the clip is too short needed more action obviously wasn't from the main
character or the chosen character viewpoint which was really annoying for me
• Advertisement- I did make more advertisements but last minute didn't want them as part of my production because I did not
like the way they were made and now I only have two posters which is very upsetting and I should have done more, I
acknowledge that I should have just kept them in but I just didn't like them that much that I just didn't want them PART of
my production
• Magazine- should have removed the nail Polish in in the photo there is no need for it my character Tazmin would not wear
nail Polish. I could have even rubbed off on Photoshop but I didn‘t.
40. Planning
STRENTHGS
• I think with planning it was my biggest strength in this project, I was able to come up with really good
ideas for the adventure project. I think my planning was so much more efficient and more achievable in
contract with the music video project. But at the same with this project there was more creativity to this
which I really enjoyed as with planning helped a lot. Also what I think I did really well is that if I came up
with an idea I would really think it through and ask myself if I really could achieve that idea if yes I would
write down but if not I would either adapt it or completely crossed off the idea
• The only thing I can say that was a weakness in my planning, with some of my projects such as my video I
didn’t think the alternatives solutions if my main idea would be not go well.
41. Time Management
• My time management with this projects has been really bad as we are lockdown for me it has been really
hard to motive myself to do work and having to do my production remotely from has made it harder for me
to manage my time. I didn’t finish my work as it was my fault for procrastinating. I definitely if I pushed
myself to work more and I’d spent more time on my production work my products would’ve been 10 times
better than there are now. I’m still working on my evaluation and my gameplay now as I’m supposed to be
beginning my FMP, which is horrible start to that but I have to finish this. I am disappointed by the way I
had managed well.
42. TechnicalQualities
With my gameplay in comparison with other games is not the best and especially
Where's the gameplay I watched/researched a lot and I got majority of my
inspiration called Don’t starve , it was very different from my idea of what I wanted
for my game and I am sad that it didn't come out the way I expected it to come out. I
think with my posters it was detailed in the sense that I used Adobe Illustrator to you
to make the font local drippy and it made it more 3D like and I think that was really
hard because at first I did terrible at it but then eventually I got it any look good and
it looked scary and I think no I love people would think my game or movie would
look like a scary movie but really it would just be an adventure film end, no I did not
use Foley methods doing my production.
43. AestheticQualities
Now looking at my adventure magazine on itself looked nice and I thought it
was very fitting but then now that I have sat down Anne analysed it in
competitive to an actual film magazine I've realised how inaccurate, looking at
the magazine on the left hand side shows what an actual film magazine and I
think it shows what is so different about mine is that the Total Film magazine
has big block writing with graphics on top which I did try doing but obviously
didn't go as well as I expected but that's what I think is the biggest contrast with
between the two magazines here.

I definitely realised the contrast of my posters with actual adventure
posters that my closest look very much like is scary poster as the one on
the left hand side And I think probably that wasn‘t the aim of my poster
I wanted it to be focused on the two characters that survive in my film
but I didn't know how to express it and I thought this way it would be
interesting to show the characters but it very much looks like a scary
movie but that was not my intent and I think that's something I need to
work on when I go into other projects, I'll try to remember the intent of
what I'm trying to show the audience and how I'm trying to make them
feel.

The menu screen I think personally looks good enough to be menu
screen, it has the aspects it being a menu screen and I really like and
comparing it to the one below I think it is quite similar expect for the
social media icons. I think it is very fitting to my colour scheme I
planned and it looked nice.

With creating sound effects I think I was creative when making the sound of the aeroplane in the Sky with
my heater and hair dryer to make the wish sounds that you would hear if you are in a plane but with the
rest of my sound effects I had used my previous ones that I had used for the experiments and some of the
sound effects I got off YouTube which were non Copyright ones where I have seen on numerous games. I
didn't mind how my sound effects came out but for me every time I hear a sound effect that I created I
can't help to think of how I made it and I can't enjoy it as much as I can but I think my sound effects turned
out better than I thought they would and it's been really fun to be able to do sound effects cause I've never
knew how people got sound effects in movies and games so it was a really interesting experience for me. I
think one of my weaknesses with the sound effect was the sound effects of when you were jumping , I
wanted the character to have an sound when they jumped over an obstacle or for someone and I think I did
poorly them poorly.
47. AudienceAppeal
My synopsis I wrote the my target audience would be 13 to 17 no specific gender and I still think my game
and my production would be still fitting for that audience target and especially how my products have come
out they look scary and I don't think it would be suitable for my product to be recommended younger than
my age range that I‘ve provided. I think one thing that is appealing to my target audience is the fact that it
looks scary on the surface especially with my posters and it will intrigue that type of audience because at
that age horror movies are very in with that age group and they will be curious to find out what happens but
overall it will just be an action film that I think they would enjoy so I think overall how my products have
turned out is still very suitable for my age group and my target audience.
48. Overallstrengths and weaknessesof the final package.
I think overall with this project animation was the best I could’ve done better with my magazine cover and
posters as seen that I should’ve added more graphics to it so it made it more interesting with that I will take
into consideration when it comes to my FMP. Definitely I‘ve seen the I tend to do better when making posters
and magazines but when it comes to animation obviously as I've said before it doesn't go well. But aside from
that I enjoyed this whole project in general I was able to do different things at one go at times yeah it was
pressurising to do but I am happy that I did this.
