Profile
Since completing her MA in Music Performance at the University of Chichester, Diana has
worked and performed extensively in and around Surrey and across the country. Diana works
as a Singing and Piano Teacher and has recently qualified as a Yamaha Play for Keeps
Keyboard teacher, undertaking classes at The Music Works.

Professional Development
Diana is proactive in her professional development and regularly attends workshops, master
classes and lessons. She is currently studying singing with Robin Green. Other recent
activities have included a master class with Rosalind Plowright; teaching composition
workshop led by Mary Bruce; choral conducting workshop led by Amy Bebbington; ABRSM’s
instrumental and voice teaching workshop. In October 2015, Diana is attending the
Melofonetica Intensive two day Italian Course.

Freelance Soprano and Teacher
Diana has been working as a freelance soprano and teacher since completing her master’s

Teaching Work
Diana teaches one-to-one Singing and Piano lessons. She specialised in vocal studies at
university and has played the piano for over 20 years, playing to a Grade 8 standard. Diana
teaches a wide range of ages and abilities from beginner to advanced.
Diana also plays the Sopranino, Descant and Treble recorders and can teach this from
beginners to intermediate. She thoroughly enjoys teaching as it enables her to encourage the
next generation of musicians by passing on the musical knowledge that she has absorbed
over the years.
Freelance Event Planner
Diana is an experienced Event Planner. She has been successfully running the Solo Singing
Section of the Godalming Music Festival for the past three years. She has grown the section
from about 80 competitor entries to 250 entries. This requires a lot of organisation and
planning, ensuring the festival programme is produced and run effectively and smoothly.
Diana also oversees all the Festival's social media presence.
For the past year, Diana has been the Concert Manager for the Vivaldi Singers. She has been
involved in organising and running 3 concerts, one of which was in the Electric Theatre,
Guildford. This was a new venture for the choir and Diana was pivotal in steering the project
to a wonderful concert. Diana also oversees all the Vivaldi Singers online presence, including
their website, twitter account and facebook page.
Under Rose Belles Music, Diana is currently organising SpookFest, an Oxjam event to raise
money for Oxfam. This involves putting together an interesting programme of music and
activities to appeal to the whole family.

During 2015, Diana has been busy setting up Rose Belles Music with Lizzie Hales. The Rose
Belles are an outstanding group of singers and musicians who have a wide repertoire ranging
from Opera to Musical Theatre and Rock & Pop to Classical. More information can be found on

Casual Duty Manager/Box Office Assistant/Bar Attendant at The Electric Theatre
The Electric Theatre is a small community theatre in Guildford, Diana began working at the
theatre in December 2012 and is cross-trained in multiply Front of House duties, ensuring the
patrons enjoy the show and have a positive experience at the venue.

Interests
Outside of work, Diana has a broad range of interests. She enjoys singing with choirs and
regularly sings with the London Cantata Choir and the Vivaldi Singers. She enjoys a varied
selection of art, books and films; visiting National Trust properties and gardens; camping
holidays and spending time with her family and friends.
