1. Orsaya 2015
Orsaya was born in 1972 in a town called Purmerend - The
Netherlands - in a musical family with a Dutch father and a Hungarian
mother. Her mother was a well-known classical pianist.
The family of her mother is a famous musically Hungarian family.
Her uncle is a composer and first violinist in an international
orchestra and her aunt was an opera singer in Budapest.
At the age of 7 she started playing the piano and at the age of 9 she
chooses a second instrument, the flute.
After earning her graduated high school she started with the training
of the Conservatory. During this training she plays in the North
Holland youth orchestra and begins teaching.
Her first success comes when she is asked to play her own
composition for flute playing live on Radio 1.
At the age of 19 she begins to Sweelick Amsterdam
Conservatory majoring flute and also singing, piano and
ewi. She was taught by the famous Dutch flutist
Marieke Schneemann. In 1999 she graduated cum
laude. As a qualified music teacher she expands her
own music practice progressively over the last 15 years.
Music
Orsaya has a classical background regarding her flute music. She has also developed her singing skills.
She has thereby developed a special interest in jazz, latin, funk and pop, but also in R&B.
She is currently working on an R&B song. In all of these different disciplines you can recognize the
unique sound of Orsaya, in her flute as in her songs. Orsaya is a multi-talent: she plays the flute and
sings, she writes and composing most of her songs.
Besides her own performances she supports various projects.
She currently works on the following projects:

Waterland Events ( platform for emerging talent )
Duo Harp/flute (classical with Marjatta Fehres )
Freelance Orchestra member for various projects
Jazz meets Classic: mixed performance where classical and jazz meet
