Mechanical Engineer
My main focus is providing hands on operational and technical support to the plant technicians on Air
Separation Units in the production of cryogenic liquids. With these responsibilities I coordinate and supervise
project implementation, control project costs, monitor progress and quality of the projects to improve the
reliability and efficiency of plant operations. All of this is done by collaborating with senior engineering staff. I
am responsible for managing the gas production facility during any absence of the facility manager.
• Placed on zone efficiency team contributing to over $500,000 dollars in savings for the company by
enacting and overseeing multiple efficiency improvement projects such as the replacement of intercoolers to
reduce entropy between compression cycles, replacement of chiller electrical motor to increase compression of
freon and improve heat transfer, identifying and fixing leaks within compression cycle and cold box.
• Increase production by 12% through mathematical modeling and enacting efficiency measures by
using the chemical engineering software Aspen Hysys to model the plant and allowing it to determine the
weakest points in the process and where we could change variables to increase said production.
• Participated in Vehicle/Payload Launches for ULA and SpaceX at Vandenberg AFB.
• Lead commissioning of newly installed components using digital control systems and
ladder/function block programming. This entailed mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, quality control, root
cause analysis, testing, and ensuring mechanical/hardware interface of electro-mechanical pneumatic
systems( valves and positioners connected to PLC’s and DCS) for increased efficiency and production.
