Tense Formula
To form a simple past tense sentence, the formula is as follows:
In simple past tense sentences, the verb / verb used is the second verb form. There
are 2 types of verbs / Verb, namely Regular Verb and Irregular Verb. For regular
verbs, add -ed / -d behind the first form of verbs. As an example :
Stay -> stayed (Tinggal)
Punch -> Punched (Memukul)
Play -> Played (Bermain)
Touch -> Touched (Menyentuh)
Write -> Writed (Menulis)

Untuk Irregular verb , termasuk didalamnya to be,
bentuk kata kerja keduanya sangat berbeda. Sebagai contoh :
Awake -> Awoke (Terbangun)
Begin -> Began (Memulai)
Drink -> Drank (Minum)
Eat -> ate (Makan)
Run -> ran (Berlari)
Namun, ada sebagian Irregular verb yang memiliki bentuk kata kerja yang sama dengan
bentuk kata kerja dasar. Sebagai contoh :
Put -> Put (Meletakkan)
Split -> Split (Membagi)
Spread -> Spread (Menyebarkan)
Set -> Set (Mengatur)
Cut -> Cut (Memotong)

•Yustrisia went to Bali for holiday last Sunday (Minggu kemarin,
Yustrisia pergi ke Bali untuk berlibur)
•She joined english club class at school yesterday. (Kemarin, dia
bergabung kedalam klub bahasa Inggris di sekolah).
•Last Monday, Deva got an accident at the office (Senin lalu, Deva
terkena musibah di kantor).
•Guski bought new laptops last night. (Guski membeli laptop baru
kemarin malam)
•They watched “BLOODSHOT”, the newest movie at the cinema
yesterday. (Kemarin, mereka menonton film “BLOODSHOT”, film

Examples of simple past negative tense sentences
To form simple negative past tense sentences, the formula is as follows :

Dokur did not eat the vegetables. (Dokur tidak makan sayuran)
Oncor did not buy a car. (Oncor tidak membeli sebuah mobil)

kemarin).
