- The Nifty index closed down 30 points at 8,243.80. Maximum call open interest was at the 8,400 strike price and maximum put open interest was at 8,000. - The most active Nifty call was the 8,300 strike from the January expiry which saw an addition of 520,000 open interests. The most active Nifty put was the 8,200 strike which saw an addition of 190,000 open interests. - Yes Bank, State Bank of India, and Vedanta saw changes in their January futures contract open interests, while the India VIX decreased 0.91% to 14.91.

1. Nifty Options - OI Distribution
 The Nifty was down by 30 points or 0.36% to
settle at 8,243.80.
 As per the OI data, the maximum OI
outstanding for Calls was at 8400 SP and that
for Puts was at 8000 SP. Besides, for intraday
purpose, one could Buy with the SL of 8220 for
the Target of 8340.
 Nifty January 2017 futures closed at 8267.65 on
Friday at a premium of 23.85 points over spot
closing of 8243.80.
 Among Nifty calls, 8300 SP from the January
month expiry was the most active call with an
addition of 5.2 Lakh open interests. Among
Nifty puts, 8200 SP from the January month
expiry was the most active put with an addition
of 1.9 Lakh open interests.
 Nifty January futures saw a contraction of 40
thousand units, taking the total outstanding
open interest to 1.8 Cr. units.
 Among most active underlying, Yes Bank
witnessed an addition of 70 thousand of Open
Interest in the January month futures contract,
followed by State Bank of India witnessing a
contraction of 24.4 Lakh of Open Interest in the
January month contract, Vedanta witnessed an
addition of 70 thousand of Open Interest in the
January month contract.
 The top gainers on Nifty were Yes Bank up by
3.16%, Kotak Mahindra Bank up by 2.67%,
Eicher Motors up by 2.19%, Bank of Baroda up
by 1.72% and IndusInd Bank up by 1.71%.On
the flip side, Tech Mahindra down by 3.78%,
HCL Tech down by 3.46%, Idea Cellular down by
2.41%, TCS down by 2.19% and Wipro down by
2.15% were the top losers.

reached 14.91.
 The Nifty Put Call Ratio (PCR) finally stood at 1.21 for
January month contract .
 The top five scrips with highest PCR on OI were
Pidilite Industries (3.10), Dabur India (1.94), TVS
Motor (1.84), Maruti Suzuki India (1.62) and Ajanta
Pharma (1.54).
