1. Nifty Options - OI Distribution
 The Nifty was up by 82 points or 1.01% to settle
at 8,185.80.
 As per the OI data, the maximum OI
outstanding for Calls was at 8200 SP and that
for Puts was at 8000 SP. Besides, for intraday
purpose, one could buy Nifty for Target of
8240 with SL of 8150.
 Nifty January 2017 futures closed at 8187.40 on
Friday at a premium of 1.60 points over spot
closing of 8185.80.
 Among Nifty calls, 8200 SP from the January
month expiry was the most active call with an
addition of 5.1 Lakh open interests. Among
Nifty puts, 8000 SP from the January month
expiry was the most active put with an addition
of 13 Lakh open interests.
 Nifty January futures saw an addition of 9.60
Lakh units, taking the total outstanding open
interest to 1.7 Cr. units.
 Among most active underlying, State Bank of
India witnessed a contraction of 1.4 Lakh of
Open Interest in the January month futures
contract, followed by Bharat Financial Inclusion
witnessing a contraction of 0.5 Lakh of Open
Interest in the January month contract, Reliance
Industries witnessed an addition of 0.6 Lakh of
Open Interest in the January month contract.
 The top gainers on Nifty were Aurobindo
Pharma up by 3.21%, GAIL India up by 2.58%,
Bosch up by 2.27%, Idea Cellular up by 2.27%
and Sun Pharma up by 2.24%. On the flip side,
BPCL down by 0.88%, Bajaj Auto down by
0.66%, ONGC down by 0.42%, Dr. Reddy’s Lab
down by 0.33% and HDFC Bank down by 0.27%
were the top losers.

2. Derivative Strategy Pay- Off Chart
 The India Volatility Index increased by 1.19% and
reached 15.46.
 The Nifty Put Call Ratio (PCR) finally stood at 1.17 for
January month contract .
 The top five scrips with highest PCR on OI were Ajanta
Pharma (2.50), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise (2.25), TVS
Motor (1.95), Hero Motocorp (1.74) and Amara Raja
Batteries (1.69).
