1. Nifty Options - OI Distribution
 The Nifty was down by 7.75 points or 0.09% to
settle at 8,236.05.
 As per the OI data, the maximum OI outstanding
for Calls was at 8400 SP and that for Puts was at
8000 SP Besides, for intraday purpose, one could
use buy strategy upto the level of 8040 for Target
of 8300 with SL of 8020.
 Nifty January 2017 futures closed at 8249.90 on
Monday at a premium of 13.85 points over spot
closing of 8,236.05.
 Among Nifty calls, 8300 SP from the January
month expiry was the most active call with an
addition of 1.7 Lakh open interests. Among Nifty
puts, 8200 SP from the January month expiry was
the most active put with an addition of 90
thousand open interests.
 Nifty January futures saw a contraction of 10
thousand units, taking the total outstanding open
interest to 1.8 Cr. units.
 Among most active underlying, Yes Bank
witnessed a contraction of 20 thousand of Open
Interest in the January month futures contract,
followed by BEML witnessing an addition of 4.8
Lakh of Open Interest in the January month
contract, Tata Motors witnessed an addition of
2.3 Lakh of Open Interest in the January month
contract.
 The top gainers on Nifty were HCL Tech up by
2.55%, Idea Cellular up by 2.06%, Eicher Motors
up by 1.22%, TCS up by 1.17% and IndusInd Bank
up by 1.16%.On the flip side, Dr. Reddy’s Lab
down by 3.14%, ONGC down by 2.15%, Coal India
down by 1.99%, Asian Paints down by 1.86% and
Hindalco down by 1.77% were the top losers.

2. Derivative Strategy Pay- Off Chart
 The India Volatility Index increased by 3.80% and
reached 15.48.
 The Nifty Put Call Ratio (PCR) finally stood at 1.20 for
January month contract .
 The top five scrips with highest PCR on OI were Bosch
Ltd (4.00), Pidilite Industries (3.61), Dabur India
(2.02), Maruti Suzuki India (1.73) and TVS Motor
(1.64).
