Human Cloning
Morally it is wrong to allow human cloning in anyway possible since it can introduce unknown
and unexpected genetic errors to the human species beyond their control. Technology is not yet
developed enough to be safe to incorporate human cloning (American association for
Advancement for Science, 2014) Ownership of the clones can also be a source of argument since
human beings always rightfully own themselves, yet scientists will want to attach ownership and
control to the clones in a sense that it is a product of their labor.
I do not agree that human cloning should be a matter to create a supremacy battle in terms of
scientific breakthrough ( Dharmapalan, 2018) in relations to Zhong Zhong and Hua Hua which
allows for limitless production of human clones. Embryonic stem cells from cloned embryos
would have biomedical research advantages including drug discovery and testing but on the
larger scale violating human ethics. Once introduced in the lab there will be a difficult task of
controlling where they go putting it to a dangerous spot. Cloning will violate the clone’s right to
an open future since its life Parten will be largely programmed, but this also threatens the clone’s
identity and individuality.

Cloning might have a good intention scientifically to promote progress in technology but has so
many uncontrolled consequences to the human DNA which may alter the basic human make up.
If human clones are achieved ownership of the clones will be like ownership of human beings
which is morally acceptable.
