3. The Darn Spreadsheet
We’ve interviewed hundreds of fraternities and sororities
on how they keep contact information (phone numbers,
email addresses) on their members. Over 85% of those
interviewed use either Excel or Google Docs.
They hate the spreadsheet.
Administrative Nightmare
One person is responsible for updating contact information for
everyone else. This gets difficult and tedious very quickly.
Incomplete and Out of Date
Fraternity members use on average 2.3 email addresses and 1.7
phone numbers. These are rarely reflected on the spreadsheet.
Impossible to Share
Other than the group administrator, other people in the group
who need the contact information can’t get it.
Inaccessible on Mobile
Spreadsheets are okay on the desktop, but extremely difficult
when most people need it – on their mobile phones.

5. Setup: Fast and Free
We know that fraternity and sorority members are busy
with school, work and other obligations, so we’ve made
installing Dentity as painless as possible.
Auto Import of the Spreadsheet
Chapters just send us their existing spreadsheet and we import
everything so they don’t have to start from scratch. Afterwards,
the admin can add or delete members directly from the app,
and members can claim and update their profiles.
Beta Testing Program
While we’re still in private beta, we’re interviewing interested
fraternities and sororities to join our beta testing program.
Accepted chapters get exclusive use of Dentity for free. We
accept the chapters on a rolling basis, opening up a few spots
each week.
