To safely and effectivelymanufacture the designated products/s to the required
quality standard through operating complex processing plant and performing process
driven activities including plant monitoring, documentation and regulatory
compliance activities. Operates within a self-directedteam applying lean principles
and striving for continuous improvement.
Major Accountabilities
1. Operate plant and control systems effectively,maintaining high standards of
housekeepingand compliance;
• Track actual performance vs. shift plan and take actions immediately
• Fast problem identification and resolution,ownership to resolve
breakdowns and linkto Process Support Team
• Monitor & recording deviations in real time, initial assessment and
escalation
• Sample, analyse and document IPC testing
• Complete and review and close batch documentation
• Check weighingof products and waste after discharge
• Print and attach labels to containers for products and waste materials
Ensure final product and waste acceptable for dispatch
2. Optimise plan availability;
• Condition monitoring of plant (asset care and process performance)
• Support engineering team with the Asset Care Excellence of plant and
equipment applying basic engineeringskillsand raising of notifications
3. Clear and visible communication relating to all work processes including shift
handover
4. Fast and effective response to abnormal emergency events, raise 24 hour
notification

Ethanol, Dimethylformamide, Isopropanol, Isopropanol Acetate, Ethyl Acetate,
Dichloromethane, Toluene, Methylethylketone,Chloroacetylchloride, Vilsmier,
Hydroxyaminoadamantane, Potassium Carbonate, Potassium Iodide,
Diazabicychloundecane, Brine solution ( used in soft water plant ).
Control systems in use are the CGS and Delta V.

Served with the Hong Kong Squadron in 1980 which involvedworking alongside the
Hong Kong police patrolling the waters of the South China Sea intercepting illegals
and drug traffickers.
Part of Task Group deployed to Falkland Islands Protection Zone 1982.

060 Plant Operator grade 1 and 2.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Eighteen years experience of working in a complex chemical plant. Running various
processes utilisingmany differentsolvents and raw materials. A high level of HSE and
quality is required in order to produce active ingredientsto the highest standard as
required by the pharmaceutical industry.
