I gladly write this letter of recommendation for David Petersen and his numerous
accomplishments as a Packaging Intern for PCA during the winter/spring of 2019. During
this time, he was a member of my packaging team and we worked closely together. David
paved the way for the internship program and his future as a valued member of our
company.
David is a hard-working and energetic person, and I have no doubt that he will experience
great success in his future career. With outstanding time management skills, he made
sure to always deliver his work results in a timely fashion. He was eager to learn new
things and very apt at researching key information from various sources. David has the
invaluable ability to think outside the box, he often came up with fresh ideas. These skills
were evident when he developed designs for our customers. This was important in
regards to us receiving the business due to his ability to listen and create a quality design
for the customer’s needs. He is never afraid to question a typical solution when he sees
potential for a quicker, cheaper, and more practical approach. I was very impressed with
which interest Dave dug deeper into specific designs, materials, and processes. He
increased his Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator skills here. Also he became adept at using
our cad software to create three dimensional objects with a two dimensional program.
During projects, David showed great commitment to the group’s success. He exhibited
flexibility and handled different roles within his job function. He was a very reliable
employee and was able to handle his tasks independently and with great competence.
David always paid careful attention to detail. With his attentive and friendly character,
he kept up with our high standards and contributed to our department’s reputation for
design and service.
