EON Reality
VR-AR Entrepreneur
Sept 2014 - July 2015
Attended EON Reality Entrepreneur School which is the world leader
in Virtual and Augmented Reality based knowledge transfer for
industry, education and entertainment. The course provided me with
an intellectually challenging and stimulating educational experience
giving me the required knowledge and skills to support the study and
development of conceptual design and artwork, digital assets for
major industries and education and interactive 3D visual effects
training. Developed organisational qualities and communication skills
necessary for the effective exchange of ideas, information, and
teamwork with a particular emphasis on understanding production
‘pipelines’ associated with various industries.
Hourglass Design
Creative Director
May 2009 - Sept 2014
After Artem I felt the time was right to take the leap and start up on
my own Creative Design studio and venture forward with Hourglass
Design. With my artwork already produced over the years with Artem
I was able to deliver clients the same standard they were accustomed
to with design ability and deadline hitting. Having acquired a local
printer I was able to keep an eye on the jobs in the beginning until I
could trust his judgement and he understood my high standards
regarding print and cut. Long hours and relentless deadlines needed
more staff at Hourglass so I procured office space and hired junior
designers to help with the workload. While working for me I was
always on hand to help them learn the advanced techniques of
Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and Quark to speed up their
workflows and meet deadline targets.
Artem Print Services
Head of Design
Oct 2002 - May 2009
Starting out with Artem I was initially a Graphic Designer with an
understanding of print and design. This rapidly grew into a more
demanding Creative Lead role with me acquiring Head of Design soon
after. I would take a job from client brief to delivery of product whilst
troubleshooting along the way guaranteeing customer satisfaction.
Meeting the client in the first instance, striking up a rapport and
getting to know about their business needs and vision gave me a real
edge when coming up with concepts. After artwork was signed off
then I would set up for print whilst prioritising my workload to keep all
my clients happy which was a task in itself on occasion.
Barcrest Gaming
