Media:
Social media reaches
billions of people each
year. In the year 2020
there were 3.6 billion
social media users
worldwide.
These numbers are
expected to grow to
4.41 billion by 2025
according to
statista.com

4. Social Media in a Business:
In the United States roughly 91.9% of
companies use social media for
marketing. (statista.com)
This alone shows the effectiveness of
social media. This many companies
would not be using social media if it
didn’t work. A company will typically
not devote resources to a failing
marketing idea.
Social media is very useful to many
companies. This makes it a valid option
to consider in a business.

5. Cost of Social Media:
Social media is so accessible due to it typically
being free. The only cost is in the device that uses
it and an internet connection. (which most people
in America have access to)
A business can use this to its advantage by
advertising with little to no cost.
A business is given access to roughly 3.6 billion
possible customers with minimal cost.
Price also helps the user. A user does not have to
worry about access because of budget constraints.

6. Social Media’s Ease of Use:
Social media is not designed to be hard to
operate. The focus is on the common consumer.
Social media can be used even by those with
minimal technology skills.
To post on social media it is not a long process.
You choose a picture or statement. After that it is a
tap of a button to put it out to the public.
This ease of use makes it extremely easy for a
business to use social media. They do not have to
spend extreme amounts of money and time to
train employees on how to use these applications.

1320 is the world’s largest car media
company. They are built completely
around social media.
1320 travels around to different
motorsports events and documents
them. 1320 has built a massive
following on social media. They provide
content to their customers and branded
merchandise. Social media has allowed
1320 to build a service that provides
content to social media users.

8. YouTube:
Business: Cleetus McFarland
Subscribers: 2.45 Million
Cleetus uses social media to provide
entertainment to users. They use social media
to help raise funds to pursue their motorsport
activities. Like 1320 they also sell merchandise
online. This merchandise then helps to provide
more content on social media.
Cleetus McFarland has built a business out of
social media. It is a full-time job for its
employees. This shows just how powerful
social media can be.
9. Twitter:
Business: Kinetic Game
Followers: 119.4 Thousand
Kinetic Game uses its twitter to promote their
game. They have one large title which is called
Phasmophobia. This is a horror ghost hunting
game. Twitter helps a small company like Kinetic
get their name out. Social media has helped
Kinetic due to the fact they have a small team.
Currently there is only one employee of the
company (the game developer).
