occurred a new revolution in the
20th century, that dramatically
changed the field of agriculture,
and this revolution is known as
the green revolution

M.S.Swaminathan,
father of green
revolution led this
revolution as a project

GREEN REVOLUTION
Expansion of
farming areas
Green revolution continued with
quantitative expansion of farmlands
Artificial monsoon
There had to be two monsoons
per year, one would be the natural
monsoon and the other an artificial
monsoon

Instead of growing a single crop per
year, the field should use to grow
two or more crop through out the
