CUT.
INT. MENTAL HOSPITAL IN ADAMS ROOM - MID AFTERNOON
ADAM is sleeping in his bed. The NURSE is standing
and the DOCTOR is sitting by the bed watching him
and writing down notes.
FADE.
INT. ART CLASSROOM - MID AFTERNOON
Wide shot of ADAM and DANIELLE laughing while in
their art class.
CUT.
INT. MENTAL HOSPITAL IN ADAM’S ROOM - MID AFTERNOON
ADAM wakes up and sits up.
ADAM
(ARRRRR!)
The NURSE walks over to ADAM and try to calm him
down by pinning him down to the bed.
NURSE
It’s ok Adam. Just relax.
ADAM
Whe’ am I.
DOCTOR
Leans forwards. Hand gestures.
Just, Calm Down.
The NURSE gives ADAM an injection. He then calms
down.
DOCTOR
Adam. Do you know where you are?

ADAM Shakes head.
DOCTOR
You are in Witingham Hill Home for the mentally ill.
ADAM is Confused.
DOCTOR
Do you remember what happened?
ADAM
Wha do yo’ mean?
DOCTOR
Do you remember what happened between you and
Danielle?
BEAT.
Shocked that he asked that question. ADAM nods in
shame.
DOCTOR
Could you please tell me what happened then please?
ADAM shakes his head looking upset.
DOCTOR
Why not?
ADAM
(Sadly.)
I don’ wanna.

DOCTOR
Why not?
ADAM
(Upset.)
Just, no.
DOCTOR
You know, I am here to help you. For me to help you
I need to understand what happened.
ADAM decides to tell DOCTOR what happened; however
he doesn’t really want to. You can hear in ADAM’S
voice that he regrets it and is ashamed.
ADAM
Danielle an’ I stayed after school to finish of our
science work.
Tears starts rolling down ADAM’S face. He bends his
knees to his chest.
ADAM
We were on our way ‘ome and then… and then, he…
CUT.
INT. SCHOOL CORRIDOR. EARLY EVENING.
ADAM and DANIELLE are walking down the corridor.
DANIELLE
I finished M1 and now I need to complete D1.
DANIELLE stops and turns and faces ADAM. He stops
and looks at DANIELLE.
DANIELLE
Adam, I need to tell you something.

ADAM
Wha’?
DANIELLE
I’m going to join the army. Im leaving in two days
because I have been accepted.
ADAM doesn’t respond to DANIELLE, he just stares at
her. She looks up to him and then becomes concerned.
DANIELLE
Adam, did you hear what I said?
ADAM nods slightly.
DANIELLE
DANIELLE looks over her soldier and sees a MAN with
his face covered.
Who’s that?
ADAM
ADAM looks to the MAN too.
Who?
A MAN walks to them. ADAM and DANIELLE then walk to
cross the road.
MAN
COME HERE BITCH!
As he speaks he points to the floor in front of him
with his finger indicating that he wants her in
front of him.
MAN
(Angry.)
I SAID COME HERE!

MAN runs to DANIELLE. He grabs her and holds her in
front of him. The MAN puts his hands on her head.
DANIELLE
Oi, what are you doing? Get off me.
DANIELLE struggles to try and get away from the MAN.
He turns her around so she is facing away from him.
ADAM try to help her, the MAN pushes ADAM to the
ground. The MAN then snaps DANIELLE’S neck. DANIELLE
falls to the floor dead. ADAM gets up and looks over
DANIELLE’S dead body. The MAN runs away.
CUT.
INT. MENTAL HOSPITAL IN ADAM’S ROOM - MID AFTERNOON
The DOCTOR is sitting in his chair writing notes.
ADAM is sitting up in bed still curled up.
DOCTOR
That is not how it happened.
ADAM
(Vicious.)
What do yo’ mean tha’ is no’ ‘ow it ‘append?
ADAM is confused.
DOCTOR
YOU killed her.
CUT.
EXT- SCHOOL ENTRANCE - EARLY EVENING
ADAM snaps DANIELLE’S neck as there are unclear
voices taking.

CUT.
INT - MENTAL HOSPITAL IN ADAM’S ROOM - MID AFTERNOON
ADAM is in bed in dream mode while the DOCTOR is
observing him. ADAM then snaps back into reality.
ADAM
Shocked and defensive.
Wha’? Why would I kill her?
DOCTOR
(He looks away and then back to him while taking a
deep sigh.)
Well there could be a lot of reasons why you would
do it.
pause
Did you love her?
ADAM
(Frustrated.)
Only as a best friend.
CUT.
EXT- SCHOOL ENTRANCE - EARLY EVENING
The MAN snapped DANIELLE’S neck.
CUT.
INT - MENTAL HOSPITAL IN ADAM’S ROOM - MID AFTERNOON
ADAM is still in his bed and the DOCTOR still
sitting in his chair.
DOCTOR
What was the last thing you two were talking about
before she died?

ADAM
(Calmly.)
She was… She was telling me that she was going to
join the army.
DOCTOR
Ok.
The DOCTOR rights some notes down in his book. ADAM
is tying to see what he is righting. The DOCTOR then
looks up.
DOCTOR
Do you want to know my version of the event?
ADAM
No’ really, but guess on then.
The DOCTOR Takes a deep breath.
CUT.
INT. SCHOOL CORRIDOR. EARLY EVENING.
ADAM and DANIELLE are walking down the corridor;
DANIELLE is talking while ADAM is walking with no
emotion.
DANIELLE
I finished M1 and now I need to complete D1.
DANIELLE stops and turns and faces ADAM. He stops
and looks at DANIELLE.
DANIELLE

DANIELLE

ADAM hold’s his head in pain.
ADAM
(ANGRY.)
SHUT UP!
DANIELLE
What?
DANIELLE slowly walks back in shock. She starts to
get upset and slowly walk backwards.
ADAM
Come here.
DANIELLE
No
ADAM
As he speaks he points to the floor in front of him
with his finger. Indicating that he wants her in
front of him. The voices are still going around in
his head.

Angry.
ADAM
I SAID COME HERE!
ADAM walks to DANIELLE. He grabs her and holds her

the story. He is sitting backwards in his chair,
staring at ADAM.
DOCTOR
So there. That is what happened.
ADAM is sitting in his bed startled and catatonic in
shock. The DOCTOR is getting up while speaking.
DOCTOR
I’m going to leave you now to get some rest,
The DOCTOR walks over to the door.
DOCTOR
I’ll be back later to see how you are.
DOCTOR walks out of the door. ADAM is sitting up
straight in his bed startled and catatonic. Camera
zooms out.
