Twisted Fairy tales is a series about the classic fairy tales but the twisted, gruesome

episodes are basted on the original grim fairytale but with a new, funny, unique twist
on them.
5. ELLA – EMMA WATSON

• Her mother died when she was only a baby
• her father then re married when she was three
years old.
• Unfortunately when she was six her father died too.
• Ever since she has lived with her set mother and
sisters and they treat her like a slave.
• When she was sixteen she went out to get some
supplies and she met this man.
• The price made her try on the shoe and then they
got married.
Emma Watson has a huge fan base. She also has a
young innocent voice that suits the character of Ella.
She has starred in films like the Harry Potter series.
6. EVA – HELENA BONHAM CARTER
• She is the evil stepmother who treats Ella
horribly
• Eva’s husband died fourteen years ago.
• She then re married to Ella’s father because
he is rich.
• Eva is a gold digger.
• She has twin daughters with her first
husband.
• She treats Ella horribly because she don’t
want to take care of her.
• Eva didn’t realise that Ella went to the ball
until the shoe fitted Ella’s foot.
• Once Ella got married, Eva was made a
slave by the palace.
I have chosen Helena Bonham Carter because
she is a good actress who can play an evil
character as well. She has played evil
characters such as Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry
Potter and she has voiced the character
Corpse Bride in the film Corpse Bride.
7. ANASTASIA – KEIRA KNIGHTLEY
• Is the twin of Drusilla and daughter of
Eva, she bullies Ella.
• Anastasia lives with her mother, sister
and step sister.
• When she was five her father died.
• Her mother wants her to marry rich so
her mother makes her go to the princes
ball.
• She tries to get close to the prince but
he was intercede in Ella.
• Like her mother she was forced to work
as a slave at the palace.
Keira Knightley is a well known young
actress that has a huge fan base. She has
also starred in films such as Pirates and
the Caribbean and she has also voiced
characters on video games and radio
dramas.
8. DRUSILLA – FELICITY JONES
• Is the twin of Anastaia and daughter of
Eva, she also bullies Ella.
• When like her sister she was five her
father died.
• Again like her twin sister she didn’t
want her mother to marry Ella’s dad.
• She doesn’t like Ella so she takes her
anger out on her by making her a slave
and bullies her.
• When Ella marries the prince she
became a slave to the palace.
Felicity Jones is an actress who is well known for her role
in The Theory of Everything as Jane Wilde Hawking. She
has voiced the character of Angelina in Galaxy World of
Alisa (2016). She has a fan base.
9. PRINCE CHARLES – THOMAS BRODIE
– SANGSTER
• He is the son of the king who is quite
smart
• Prince Charles has lived in the palace all
of his life.
• He is well educated and very wealthy.
• He is friends and popular with most
villagers.
• He got married to her and for Ella to be
happy he commanded that her step
mother and sisters were to become
slaves at the palace.
I have chosen Thomas Brodie – Sangster
to play the Prince Charles because he is
young and has a innocent voice. He is
also good at acting and he as some voice
over work too.
10. PRODUCTION SCHEDULE
The whole production process will start on 1st May 2017 and will finish on the 30th May 2017. However
there will be an additional week in the first week of June 2017 just incase we run behind schedule for any
reason. We may go over schedule because if an actor becomes unavailable? Or if there is a problem with a
script been delivered on time? Or have a problem with booking? The radio drama will air on the 15th June
2017.
11. BROADCAST AND PODCAST
• The radio show will be aired on BBC radio 4 once a week at 6.00pm on a
Wednesday.
• It is going to be a 6 part series with each episode will last for 30 minuets.
• One month after the show has been aired on the radio it is going to be podcasted.
• Later on it will be available to buy of iTunes and as a CD.
12. TARGET AUDIENCE
• The target audience for the show is going to be teens and young adults aged
between 15 to 25yr olds.
• The secondary audience is going to be female.
• My show will appeal to 15 to 25yr Old's because they are the age group who like
fantasy and horror genre the most.
• The secondary audience is females because there are more female characters than
male characters so they will relate to them because the radio drama is relatable.
13. PLANNING MATERIAL
• The genre of my radio drama is going to be twisted fairytale’s. The show is going to be
based of grim fairytales. It will be air on BBC radio 4 once a week at 6.00pm (probably on a

• The main target audience for my radio drama is going to be 15 to 25 year old. It is going to
be 15 to 25 year old because they like fairytales and they like grim things. My secondary
audience is people who like the Grimm fairytales.
• The first episode of the series is going to be the grim version of Cinderella. In the episode it
will start with the narrator and it would sound like an normal fantasy. As the story develops it
will become more grim. The episode starts to become grim at midnight. Cinderella looses
her shoe as she is running down the castle stairs. As a result she falls over and smashes her
face as she is falling. When the prince is asking people to try on the glass shoe her step
sisters cuts and breaks there toes to try on the shoe. When Cinderella tries the shoe it fits for
a bit but then shatters and cuts all of her feet. Cinderella died due to blood loss.
