7. Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated
colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
• Some of the images are of top down defence games in which the player
can only use turrets to fight back. The rest of the games allow the
defender to fight back with their own units and to push the enemy back to
their own base.
• A big majority of the games are more into realism than the others
meaning that they are not as up beat and vibrant in colour.
• Turrets seem to be the main thing throughout the games as they are the
most effective way of defending.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
• The reoccurring idea of upgrades for units and different types of units in
general give the game more depth and therefore creates a more
immersive and rich experience that players will find hard to get bored of.
• As in the games shown above, my game will feature an ariel view of the
battlefield to give an idea of the scope of the game.
