EXPERIENCE
Sales and Facility Manager, NOV Wellbore Technologies LLC
Southern Rockies Area 20072015
In my time with NOV I held numerous roles in a variety of areas. I started my
career in the logistics office where I was promoted after six months. I held sales
manager positions throughout my entire time at NOV. I managed an average of
60 client accounts. My client base consisted of; Oil and Exploration companies,
drilling companies, directional drilling companies, fishing tool companies,
completion and production work and several engineering firms. I was responsible
for keeping in constant contact with all my accounts and building strong
relationships with them. I called on engineers, project managers, operation
managers, drilling consultants, company men, directional/ MWD drillers, and
fishing tool clients. This gave me a wide range of experience in city sales as well
as rig and well site visits. I was trained to help clients select the appropriate tools
and solutions to help them complete their projects on time and under budget. I
am extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of drilling and fishing tools, but my
expertise is in drilling motors, drill bits and fishing tools. Although I am not an
expert, I also have a broad knowledge of completion and production services as
well. I was part of a group that was responsible for developing new products such
as, drilling/ fishing tools and drill bits. We designed, engineered, field tested and
brought new products and services to market. In this group I was tasked with
market projections, case studies, market share studies and forecasting of
revenues. I tracked progress and performance for all new product and service in
my area. I am extremely proficient in marketing, developing proposals, bids,
quotes and negotiating sales and contracts. I am well versed in all Microsoft
Office programs as well as JDE operating systems. I have a large client portfolio
and vast contacts in the oil & gas industry that allows me to sell to a wide range
of customers throughout the Rockies. I have attended an average 160 hours per
year of sales, safety and certification training from NOV in my eight years. I am
certified as a Smith driver trainer, forklift operator and sales negotiation/ closer. I
have obtained all my safety and tribal certificates that allow me to operate on
drilling and well locations. In addition to my sales and development role, I was
also tasked with managing four facilities in the Rockies. I had an average of
fifteen direct reports at any time. I was responsible for sales, marketing,
inventory, logistics, accounting and most importantly, Health, Safety and
Environment I was accountable for all my reports as well as the integrity, safety
and housekeeping of these facilities.
. Accomplishments
● In 2010, I was transferred to our facility in Farmington New Mexico. I
was tasked with increasing market shares and revenues for that area.
When I took on the project, Farmington was averaging $40,000.00 per
month in Revenues and had 3% market share. In 2012 when I returned
to Utah, the Farmington facility was earning $650,000.00 in revenues.
● I managed the largest NOV facility in the Rockies and I was awarded the
- 2. highest level of Health, Safety and Environment award ever given by
NOV’s auditing department. It was the “Triple Crown Award” it had never
been given to any facility in the Rockies. We were given a trophy and a
celebration where the President of the company and many VP’s were in
attendance.
● In my eight years with NOV, I only had one employee injured on the job.
This was due, in part, by my focus and dedication on safety and insuring
all my reports made it home safely each and every day. My safety
program consisted of continuous training, role play, housekeeping and
a true “team” spirit.
● I was promoted and transferred four times throughout my time at NOV. I
was placed in areas of decline and charged to create safe and profitable
environments for our area. Due to the diligence of my team and my
management, I grew market share in my area by 42% over my career
with NOV.

Sales and Contract Manager, Acorn Construction Inc.
Show Low, Arizona 19972005
In this position, I met with clients and walked them through the entire process of
building their custom home. I completed the sale, found properties, finalized
blueprints and home designs. I also managed the contracting process for each
build. I helped to design exterior and interior finishes on the homes. I became
extremely knowledgeable in trim, flooring, cabinetry, paint and custom wood
designs. I enjoyed the client interaction and the opportunity to be a part of such a
milestone in our clients lives. As the building industry declined, I worked as a
mason, framer and trim carpenter for the last two years I was with Acorn. I grew
up as a son of a general contractor and I am very skilled in these aspects of
construction. I am very good with flat work, block laying and framing, but I feel as

with my hands and this was a very rewarding job.
