Greta Thunberg as a Leading Environmental Activist
Greta Thunberg is a young Swedish environmental activist who has dedicated herself to
challenging world leaders to take immediate action, especially on the looming ecological
challenges. Thunberg roars that governments, together with other relevant internal, external, and
private stakeholders, should be tasked with mitigating climate change since it poses a great
danger to the universe. Her activism first came into the limelight when she persuaded her parents
and neighbors to adopt lifestyles geared towards reducing their carbon footprint, which later
went viral in Sweden and the rest of the world. I lead a reduced carbon emission lifestyle, and
Thunberg is a leading environmental activist owing to her young age and the mobilization of
schools to strike to save the environment.
Thunberg’s campaign urges learners to strike as a measure of championing climate
change. The youthful environmentalist tried as much as possible to convince the Swedish
government to adopt and implement reasonable measures targeted at saving the environment.
However, she realized that her campaign was not taken seriously, which motivated her to co-
ordinate the campaign "Schools Strike for the Environment" (Bergmann et al. 287). The
campaign virtually means that, similar to how the Swedish government and other countries
consider education to be a severe issue in the current world, the same energy should be
channeled towards conserving the environment since it is also essential in people’s daily lives.

outlook of environmental activists who are on record as having championed ecological
conservation in the past, Thunberg is the youngest. Ideally, she began her campaign for the latter
when she was still a teenager and had the enthusiasm to attain a more environmentally active
globe free of pollution, constantly increasing global warming. Furthermore, she can be crowned
as the epitome of environmental activism, especially since she is young and one of the most
active female lades. Besides, her activities have been consistent as she touches and insists on
critical environmental issues. According to professional and experienced environmentalists,
many of these issues are already necessary, and their effects will be extraordinary in the future if
no action is taken to combat them.
I always make sure to walk or ride a bicycle when doing short distances. Fossil fuel
emissions have been cited as one of the major contributors that facilitate global warming,
ranking among the looming and most dangerous environmental worries. As such, when traveling
short distances, I usually walk or ride my bicycle instead of my car, which could seemingly emit
environmentally ineffective gases. On the other hand, this equally saves other members of some
ecosystems and increases the abundance of fresh air (Jandri et al., 1431). Nevertheless, I often
advise my family members, friends, and other members of the public to do so and initiate
different environmentally acceptable cultures to ensure that the environment is clean at all times.
Notably, Thunberg's contribution as a leading environmental activist cannot be
overlooked or forgotten. She is not only young, but she has also endorsed an active campaign on
the contagious issue. Moreover, unlike other activists, she insists on the need to look into the
future of the global environment based on the effects of human activities. Additionally, similar to
what everyone else should do, I make sure to reduce the daily emission of fossil fuels into the

environment, which is an adverse contributor to global warming. Therefore, everyone else
should strive to conserve the environment.
