13. VERBS OF SENSES
These are words appeal to senses. To know
that a verb is considered as a verb of sense,
an action word, check the subject in the
sentence. If the subject is an able perform the
verb as action word then it is functioning the
verb of sense.
14. NOTICE THIS EXAMPLE
The flower smells nice.
Can flower literally smell? of course not.
Therefore, smell in this sentence functions as a
verbal sense.
15. HELPING VERBS
They come with an action as they
complete the thought of an action,
specifically when action happened in
time.
17. EMPHATIC VERBS (Verbs also
helping verbs)
“does, do, did” are use to give greater
emphasis to the idea expressed by the verb.
