1. The village Bhojpur, situated 36 km. from Shahjahanpur city. Maximum people of this village are illiterate. The condition of women is very poor in this regard. We know well that literacy may remove many problems of daily life in every person. Therefore we decided to light a candle of literacy among these downtrodden women of Bhojpur

3. # We gave the name of campaign “Thumb to Signature”. # To aware the people in limited time of one week, we decided to organize meetings, rallies, role plays by using hand made posters, hand bills, banners and self prepared slogans # We also decided to involve maximum illiterate women in our campaign. # In seven days they will be able to mark their signature. # A committee for continuous monitoring after the end of campaign was also to be formed
4. # Rally was our first step, in which enthusiastic students of Satya Bharti spreading awareness through banners, hand outs and raising slogans. # Students were distributing hand outs among the villagers during rally having benefits of education. # Sticking of hand made posters on the walls of village was our next step. # Girl students have created awareness among women through educational songs.
5. Students played a very interesting and educative role play having a lot of fun among the villagers. The title of the role play was “Dakia Dak Laya.”

7. # Certainly the above steps were very helpful to achieve our target of literacy, but the main task was to maintain its continuity. For it we formed a committee of villagers along with some students and teacher of Satya Bharti too. The committee will have to go continuously to these woman.. # For the continuity of this campaign the committee has taken an oath till the removal of this problem.
