1) Students at Satya Bharti School in Balliyewal, Punjab conducted a survey that found many girls in the village dropped out of school after 5th class because there were no further education options and parents did not allow them to study. 2) Over five days, the students interacted with parents about the importance of girls' education, put up posters and slogans, held a rally with slogans, and performed a street play to motivate parents to send their daughters to school. 3) As a result of these efforts, most parents agreed to send their daughters to school or to weekend classes set up by the students to provide education for uneducated people.

We feel that most of the girls in our

an educated girl can change a
family and family further can
change the society. Thus, we have
imagined a society where no girl
remain uneducated.

5. Day -1
We did the survey in the
village and felt that most of
the girls dropout after
passing 5th class. Their
parents do not allow them
for further studies because
in the village there is no
middle or high school.

6. Day-2
Students of class 4th and 5th
interacted with parents and
discussed about the
education of their girls.
They also discussed about
the importance of
education. The students
motivated parents to send
their students for further
education.

7. Day - 3
Students prepared and shouted
slogans and had pasted the posters at
conspicuous places.

8. Day - 4
Students took out
rally and had
shouted slogans.
The community
also supported the
cause.

9. Day - 5
Students did a street play
All the community member
After viewing the play most of
the mothers got agree to send
their girl child to school or for
further studies.

10. Do
Students painted the wall with black
colour and have made three black boards in
the village. Now every Saturday and
Sunday students give education to
uneducated people.

Most of the parents agreed to
send their child to school and
some girls have also started
attending weekend classes
