·  Racism & Discrimination are perhaps the most disturbing problems today’s societies have to deal with. People 
ask themselves frequently what reasons lie behind all racist and discriminate attitudes. 
Racism & Discrimination – The roots: 
* Prejudice 
* Stereotype 
* Intolerance 
* Racial hatred 
* Fear of losing privileges 
* Belief that there are races superior to others 
* Scapegoating 
* Disrespect for others’ rights 
* The idea that immigrant brings criminality and unemployment into the country 
How can societies prevent and fight these problems? 
A. PUT THE FOLLOWING SENTENCES IN THE CORRECT COLUMN: 
* Should try to judge the others by the content of their character and not by the colour of their skin; 
* Should stop illegal immigration; 
* Should provide multiculturalism and anti-racism education; 
* Should teach kids to accept and respect the others’ differences; 
* Should develop community partnership and facilitate cross-cultural dialogues; 
* Should provide critical responses to racism and hate;
