PROFILE
I have over 18 years’ experience in the financial sector mainly in business and personal
banking. During the last 11 years I have gained extensive experience in both functional and
non-functional software testing of banking computer applications for end users. My practical
hands-on knowledge of both software testing and project management has provided me with
key transferable skills for any industry. I have a thirst for knowledge and strongly believe in
continuous personal development as my recent qualifications demonstrate. I have a keen
interest in new testing and analysis techniques specifically industry developments within
automated testing. I would relish the opportunity to work within a technical test environment

Job Description: Software Tester – Test Lead
• As Test Lead my main duties are to manage the day to day running of the Test team
including planning, organising, coordinating and controlling the overall Test project for
individual applications. Depending upon the size of the project this can involve
managing between 5 and 12 people.
• I am responsible for ensuring that the applications work, meet business requirements,
are acceptable to users and integrate with existing applications.
• I have extensive experience verifying that the projects meet the business needs as well
as rigorous regulation requirements. This can require detailed interpretation of complex
regulations set out by Authorities such as The Financial Services Regulator, Consumer
Credit Act or European Directives.
• Many of these projects include Internet Banking for both personal and business
customers; however, I have also led projects for Branch and Head Office internal
applications as well as playing a key role in restitution and rectification projects.
• ‘Quality assurance and test’ was ISO Accredited from 2007 to 2012, and my role as Test
Lead has been to ensure that all testing undertaken by the team complies with
Department Policies and Procedures and the adequate controls and reporting are in
place as well as ensuring that all relevant documentation is completed over the life of

• I take personal responsibility for ensuring that all anomalies are raised with all relevant
information attached and that all issues are raised and escalated in a timely manner and
that no issues remain by Test Exit.
• I was Customer Service Champion and actively participated in Monthly and Quarterly
meetings ensuring that all statistics were up-to-date and had responsibility of
presenting them to the department.
• I was also department trainer and was responsible for coordinating all training sessions
and conducting training needs analysis along with staff skills audits.
• I am proficient in the use of Automated Test Tools such as HP Quality Centre and Jira
and am very adaptable to any changes new applications and procedures present.
• I have been fully trained in both waterfall and agile project management techniques
both of which have been implemented for various projects within our department.
• I ensure that all staff on my projects are fully trained and understand their role and
responsibilities. I am recognized as the first point of contact for all team queries and
facilitate meetings to ascertain progress of testing and discuss issues with the team as
well as building strong relationships with both the Business Owners and Developers.
• I also volunteer for additional responsibilities including Customer Service Champion,
Technical Liaison Officer and am a member of the Staff Forum.

• I was responsible for analysing Business accounts and ascertaining the credit profile for
business customers by liaising with branch lenders to ensure the right decisions are
made to enable the growth of business customers.

• My role in Finance and Leasing was to underwrite applications for Hire Purchase, Lease
and Unsecured Loans from branches, business development managers, finance dealers
and direct customers. I had discretion of £20k and made recommendations to the
Manager for anything over this amount.

• My role at Strandtown as Branch Teller involved FX Teller, ATM reconciliation,
management of branch accounts, response to unpaid accounts and interviews with
customers for small loans or overdrafts.

WHO AM I?
As a dynamic and enthusiastic individual I have always prided myself on exceeding the
goals set out for me. I am a driven and highly motivated team player whose personality
and sense of humour goes a long way in encouraging others to help achieve mutually
beneficial results. I have an ongoing interest in self development and am always keen to
learn new things both within and outside of work. Over the past number of years I have
undertaken part time study involving History, Geneology, Spanish and Watercolours. I am
a high spirited individual with a keen sense of adventure and can be relied upon to fulfil
expectations. When not at work I enjoy, socialising with friends, spending time with my
