I had the pleasure of working with Cherri Williams over the last two plus years. We were two of
four managers in the initial/corporate office for Star & Shield Insurance Exchange tasked with
starting up the internal Claims Department from the ground up. We literally went from an empty
office to a functioning department in eight weeks. During this time, Cherri was instrumental in
setting up infrastructure and securing the vendors necessary for us to open the doors. She displayed a
positive attitude even while handling a very high project load during our initial start-up time.
Cherri is a uniquely qualified individual as her background, education, and skills set her apart.
Although she has high technical and project management skills she excels at personnel management
and motivation. She created a very strong CSR team through proactive coaching and always
involved them in the establishment of processes to get their “buy in”. Cherri was also instrumental in
establishing claims Best Practices and compliance guidelines.
I highly recommend Cherri for any management position she may seek. Our relationship was always
collaborative which was so important on our new team. And, I can unequivocally state she is one of
the most professional people I have ever known. No matter what she is challenged with, Cherri has
the dedication and motivation to succeed.
