6. ✘ According to data collected, the number of convictions
around the world for human trafficking related offences
has seen a rise of 4,905 from 2009 to 2016. Last year,
an estimated total of 9,071 convictions were made.
✘ Despite this increase, the number of identified victims
actually saw a decrease from the peak in 2015 of 77,823
to 66,520. Of course, though, convictions in 2016 are
not necessarily connected to crimes committed in the
same period.

14. CONCLUSION
Slavery and Human Trafficking happens in nearly every
country in the world, developing or developed countries
.We are now living in a world where Human Trafficking is
the fastest growing criminal enterprise.
75% of Human Trafficking is for sexual exploitation and are
female. And over 50% of all Human Trafficking victims are
children. These individuals are forced to work every single
day without pay , under threat of violence , and they’re
unable to walk away.
